We had a nifty little 5.6 earthquake this morning! I ran to check on the piggies, Rocky and Lucky. (The rest of the family can fend for themselves) They definitely felt it. They were running around the pig palace and were wide eyed. It was interesting that they were looking at me as if to say, "Who's shaking the house?" They calmed down after a few minutes.

Which is more than I do. I hate earthquakes since there is no place to go and the ground can open up underneath you.

Oh I bet that was scary Janet! We don't get many in England, if we do they aren't noticeable . We did have quite a big one (for England) a few years ago and everyone was talking about it. I'm glad the piggies calmed down and that your all ok, you all must have been worried.

Wow, sounds scary - glad you're all okay!
The one we had in the Midlands a few years back was a 4.8. It was such a strange sensation having your house shake around you - at first I thought an articulated lorry had driven in to the house. Poor Lisa lived right by the epicentre at the time, and everything in her house was shaking (pictures, shelves etc.) and all her pets were quite upset.
I'm glad we don't get them often - it's quite unnerving!

We had one once and I was convinced the house was haunted! The sofa I was sitting started going back and forth- scared the you-know-what out of me! My husband called to ask if I'd felt and I was SO relieved it was an earthquake and NOT ghosts!

Lol Kitty! Mind you, fella thought our earthquake was an atom bomb at first! We waited up until it came on the news to find out what it was as we simply weren't expecting an earthquake!

What a week On Sunday we had an earthquake of 5.6 magnitude. By Tuesday northern California had a 7.0 earthquake and from the Oregon border to the Mexican border, we had a Tsunami warning! It is only Thursday and we have now had another earthquake that was 4.6. My mind always rushes to do we have enough Carefresh and fresh veggies in the house San Diego is called America's finest city, I don't know about that.
