Hannah at Camp Nibble (a fantastic small animal rescue and rehoming centre where I got two of my pigs from a few years back) has started a petition to get the government to introduce a code of practice for the welfare of domestic rabbits (as already esists for dogs and cats). submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/49086If you could sign it, I know she would be very grateful! 100,000 signatures are needed within a year to get it to be considered for debate in the house of commons - only UK residents can sign.

I keep trying to sign, but getting fobbed off for not being a UK resident! I hope they get their 100K signatures!

Maybe you should move over here and then try again? You can always move back afterwards if the dreary weather bores you!
It's gone up a few hundred today so that's good - need to keep the momentum going though!

If I didn't have so many piggies and two dogs, I would love rabbits. The last time I went to the rescue centre for pigs they had beautiful rabbits, they were huge! We has two rabbits years ago when my daughter was young. They we're two males and started to fight so we ended up with two runs and two hutches, felt so sorry for them having a life alone. Strange but I never thought of neutering them and getting a female at that time. Xx

I had a bunny, but have learned so much about them since then. I would definitely have house bunnies again, but hubby would go through the ceiling. He does that every time I get a new pig, which I only to when I lose an old pig. He's hoping I'll get over all this animal loving stuff. And do what??? I wish he understood that loving animals is just part of who I am, and not going to change. He has no idea how lucky he is that I don't give in to adopting every guinea pig I see
