Hi everyone, sorry to hi jack this forum but i am on the reluctant search for separate individual homes for two of my neutered male bunnies - Oliver and Cody. I have 4 rabbits (3 of which are rescues) but after one of my bunnies, Lance, needed surgery for a gut blockage, the bonding of the bunnies has turned upside down. Before this tho, Cody has bullied Lance for several years now and i think this stress part contributed to his stasis issues and then surgery. Now the youngest rabbit and lance are taking lumps out of each other and as Lance is only a week out of surgery he is now in a spare bedroom whilst cody is penned in separately in the kitchen.
I have had lance 5 years now and cody for about 4 and Oliver for about 2.5 years now. I am soo stressed over all this that i cant even concentrate at work, and know that i am unable to cope with this situation. I am crying daily knowing i have to give them up and my heart is broken. Therefore i need a home for the two beautiful boys. Cody is a gentle wee sole - apart from when he is in contact with lance and just likes to sleep alot but loves being petted. Oliver is a beautiful character who will follow u to the washing machine to help you with the clothes, he loves to run around in the garden - he is really nosey and just loves kisses and cuddles. Both are really friendly boys. They would be best going to a home with no children.
All my bunnies are free range house bunnies and i would like them to go to that kind of home. If anyone knows of a good home in Northern Ireland or Ireland (i would travel for the right home) please get in touch.

I live far from Ireland, so I won't be able to help you. I just want to say that I really feel for you. My worst nightmare is having to give up my pets, so I totally understand that you're heart broken. You're dong what's best for the bunnies though, so I really hope you find them a good home.

Send a Private Message to Newpig. She lives in Northern Ireland, and knows some of the rescue operators there. She might be able to give you the names of some rescuers who are great at matching buns!

Thanks for ur replies everyone, I did send newpig a private message a couple of days ago. No reply yet, but I understand she is very busy. Hopefully when she gets a chance to log back in she will get in touch or maybe I didn't send it right. Thanks again .

Yes, Newpig isn't on the forum as much as she used to be, but she does check in. Have you tried the SPCA? I know they aren't all good, but maybe checking out the ones nearest you would give you some peace of mind. Good luck!

What a tough situation for you, I really hope you manage to find your boys some lovely new homes. Have you tried the Assasi Animal Sanctuary to see if they can help you find new homes for your boys? www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/rescue.asp?Rescue=460 The Rabbit Rehome site it's listed on has a section where you can post about rabbits needing new homes too. If I think of anything else I'll post it. Good luck.
