I am writing to tell you of one of the most marvellous things I have ever experienced.
We were coming home from an animal sanctuary when we found a small but very round little bee with a white bottom (it looked as if he had little white panties on)in the car with us. We were going too fast for him to be able to fly away and yet I had to have the window open so, if he wished, he could leave at any time. However he crawled onto my hand and it was lovely. I wasn’t going to let him out until I reached home and hoped he was a solitary bee and I hope hadn’t taken him too far away from where he lived. However we were obviously slower going through the town and as I didn’t want him to fly into someone who would hurt him and into the noise and hostility of a town, I waited until I was home. He was as good as gold all the time, happily crawling on my hand which was wonderful.
We have some bee friendly plants in our garden and when I got out of the car and he was still on my hand, I put him onto one of these flowers and straight away he was working and looked happy, with lots of other bees.
I didn’t care if he stung me, it was worth the risk but he didn’t. He just gave me a wonderful memory and experience which I will keep going back to in my mind.
I just wanted to share this with you.
Hugs
Jo

Oh Jo, imagine that. I'm on the look out for a bee with a white nappy now! I wonder if it will just join up with the other bees or try to go home. Isn't the weather lovely at the moment. Xx

Thank you Margaet love for your kind words. Yes, it did look as if he has a nappy on LOL!! I am almost certain he was a solitary bee. The weather is gorgeous and I think I saw him on a flower this morniing, or someone very much like him.
Love and hugs

Guess what Jo, I saw the same type of bee in the garage this morning, so of course I thought about you. I hadn't seen a bee with a wee white bottom in my life, but I did today. How weird is that! Xx '

That is strange Margaret hun and yet so lovely; it must mean something as it is too much of a coincidence. Thank you for telling me though, they are such special little souls.
Many thanks Bean love, and yes they are very special and i doubt if that will ever happen again but it is something I will always have with me.
I could let them crawl onto my hand from a flower but they may get cross then as they are conscientious ittle workers. Also i wuld never forgive myself if he stung me and lost his little life just because I wanted a bit of contact.
Thank you again my darlings for your lovely replies.
Hugs
JO xx
