I've been keeping an eye out for my old digital camera in the hope we could see some lovely photos of your furry family, even though your camera has died. But I finally found it a couple of days ago and I'm afraid it's dead as a dodo - no life in it at all. What a shame. How are your gorgeous piggies, Jo?

I wish the Hz were the same for US and UK, as I have a point and click I don't use anymore.

This is why I love freecycle - someone can always use what we can't, and vice versa! Still, this does rely on us being organised enough to move on the stuff we're no longer using, and I know I'm not always on the ball with that!

I think it started in the US although the UK groups have separated themselves from it now - not sure what went on! Here's a list of the states that have freecycle groups in the US - if you click on your state there are usually subgroups for different areas. It seems to work best in the big cities as there are more people close together who can help each other out. On our local one there's a simple forum format where people post with things they're giving away or would like. Others respond directly to that person. You can get all the offer/wanted messages emailed to you too - either individiually (which would be a horrific amount of emails per day!) or get one a day. I gave away a broken eReader last week and got about 10 replies from people who wanted it within a few hours - aside from the stuff that can obviously be used by others, it's amazing the stuff you'd think of being on its way to landfill but that people really want or can use.

We have quite a good group here in Cornwall but I think I have used it only twice.
