Until last year, you couldn't attach photos to posts on this forum - you had to upload them elsewhere and link to them. Now you can upload up to three attachments with each post which many members have been making use of.
I've just noticed that our storage space limit (unless we pay for more storage) is 200MB and we're already up to 160MB. When we hit our limit, we'll probably just have to delete the older attachments to make space for more so we can carry on using this useful feature.
So really, I just wanted to make sure that if anyone likes keeping their pigs' threads like a diary and wants the pictures to show up for more than a few months, make sure you use your own storage elsewhere to post photos rather than relying on them being kept here. We probably won't need to do it for some months, but thought I'd mention it now to give people a chance if they do need to save some.
Resizing your pictures before uploading them helps too as they will take up far less space so we can get more in!

So as long as I upload to photobucket then attach the link my pics are safe, right?

Yep, if they're uploaded to your own photobucket/ tinypic etc account, they'll be fine. It's only pictures posted using the 'add attachment' button which may have a limited shelf life!

I still haven't tried the attachment option. I like having the Photobucket storage, but would likexto upload from my phone. I don't know how to resize on the phone, so have to look into that.

I used to use photobucket but things changed about at some point last year and it wasn't as straightforward (for me) to use so I've been using the attachment option as it's quicker to do.
The attachment feature allows attachments of up to 1MB - it'd be good to set this lower as if people uploaded images that large, we'd soon be full up. Unfortunately we can't change it - without paying anyway! But luckily most people do resize them first.

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one who got totally confused by the Photobucket changes. Couldn't figure out how to do a bulk upload. My libraries went to different places. What a mess. I'm back to using it, but they were totally pushing mobile and socisl media use.

What about if we add a pi using the tapatalk or the proboards app? (I haven't figured out either one though)
I remember when photobucket made all their changes, I was mad for a little while.
