bongosfriend, how is George doing? I finally got my boys' nails trimmed. I took someone's advice and just trimmed the tip on the black toes. Success...no nipped nail beds

Excellent, Silamb. When it's an ordeal, we tend to put it off.

Success...no nipped nail beds Both George and Arthur are doing fine, SiLamb. I've tried a couple of times to give them floor time in the living room, but they don't seem to like it. They stay close together and do little (if any) exploring. I've decided that they are just homebodies, and are happiest when they're in their apartment (we never refer to it as a cage; Bongo once told me that he considered the term demeaning).

We didn't like doing it Silamb as it was such an ordeal for the piggies as you say 3piggles. Holly however is going to have her teeth and claws checked this week so she won't be a happy bunny.

Mine have condos, so I know exactly what you mean, Bongosfreind. Cage represents something cruel and confining. I've had pigs with free range access who just weren't interested in leaving the home they liked so much. So I try to make each condo as much fun as possible

3piggles & Jo, what do you do about all of the poop and pee they do when they run around the house?

I either hsve them on a nonporous surface, so I can just sweep or mop up after them, or I cover the carpet with a vinyl tablecloth I get at Walmart. It has a fuzzy backing and stays in place well. The 8' one is only about $10, and wipes off easily. You can get more than one and tape them together. They aren't as slippery as sheet plastic such as painters drop cloths. Paper towels and a broom.

Ours don't run around the house love but have a very large run in our sitting room which is cleaned every day. I am far too clumsy to have little things like them runnning around, as it is I have to be careful not to trip over bunny and kitty LOL!!
