I'm headed to Utah on Tuesday and stay with my brother's family for the night and then driving to Wyoming on Wednesday. A doctor there thinks he might be able to help my medical condition. I'm to undergo treatments for 10 business days. I know the first treatment is four hours long. I don't know if each day will be like that. If so, it will be my part time job. After two weeks of treatment, I plan on heading back to Utah to hang with my brother's family (the family with the 10 kids) and then flying home on the 18th. While in Wyoming, I'll be staying in my parents RV (they live in it during the summer). The first week, my parents are going to stay in their time share (already scheduled, I'm not kicking them out) and then it will be tight quarters when they come back during the second week. No privacy then. My bed will be the couch then.
Wyoming is fantastically beautiful. Utah is too, but not as pretty as Wyoming, in my opinion. I'll post pictures.
Hubby may be able to join me for some of the three weeks that I'll be gone. If he can't come, then I will really be missing him.
I have to say that I'm a tad surprised, I'm already dreading leaving Harry & Weasley for so long. I hope they recognize me when I get back. Just thinking about them brings a smile to my face.
Internet is spotty for the time that I'm in Wyoming. I'll try to stay in contact as best as I can.

Not only will they recognize you, they'll be so happy to see you. Expect them to make you pay for leaving them I hope the treatments help, as that's a lot to go through. All digits crossed ♡

Went back to our old stomping grounds today for their 250th Olde Home Day celebration. Town was officially settled in 1764. Classic car show with our former neighbor showing off his roadster. His wife has the embroidery business and had a stall there selling items. We bought a lot, as she does incredible work Too long on my feet, but had a great time. Turns out the people who bought our house lost it to bankruptcy It's empty now. That's never good, but especially bad to have an empty house 500 feet back in the woods. We had such a tight neighborhood for 20 years. Kind of sad to see it like that. Houses on both sides of our neighbor are vacant. Interesting to go back once in a while.

Sounds like a lovely day but what a shame to see your old home empty. Are there many empty properties in the area as a whole?

We still have foreclosure problems, and the short sales are keeping housing prices down. There is a lot of upkeep with that house. Over an acre of lawn to mow, and about 600 feet of driveway to plow including the parking area. Seems he hurt his back and couldn't work, so probably let the place go yard work wise. We're too old to do all that work anymore. Still, between the cleared and wooded areas, it was a survivalis dream.

It's a shame it was too much for him - it sounds like a great place to live, having a peaceful retreat away from the pace of daily life. The kids would love it!
Weesilvie , I don't mean to nag but I mentioned a few months ago I'd like you to come and reseal my shower for me (you being an expert) and you still haven't done it - chop, chop!

Sadly it is happening everywhere love. We had to sell our house due to a ruthless mortgage lender, we are just lucky now that I qualify for a sheltered bungalow.

Jo, we have had so many of those ruthless mortgage lenders convicted and required to pay back millions, but that doesn't give people back their homes, or the lives they lost because of the foreclosures. What's worse is some were preying on military people, knowing the buyers would be deployed, and unavailable to refinance to a lower rate. What miserable excuses for human beings All for profit It's still in the works over here, with cases still being hears from 10 years ago. It's not that the courts are slow, but that the mortgage companies made the paperwork as unclear as possible, so practically every word has to be reviewed by a forensic banker. Then there is the endless questioning of just how much the buyers even understood the gobbledygook wording of the contracts they signed, how the wording was explained to them, etc. Worst part is, except for the penalties for having done this, I don't see any sign of any changes in the laws, to stop anyone from doing it again! This is buyer beware at it's worst, and hubby wonders why I don't trust anyone who is trying to sell me anything, anymore. Yes, Bean, the kids would have loved it. Endless places to play, space for pretty much anything you wanted to do on 7 acres. Great place for a mini farm

There's a gorgeous house we see when we go to my favourite plant nursery - it has loads of land with it. It's 1.4 million but has been on the market a while so maybe they'll drop over a million off the price tag if we wait long enough?!
Hope everyone enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend. We didn't do much, but that was a very good thing!

It is sickening isn't it 3Piggles love, I know that we are far from beng the only victims? The company were called CitiBank, used to be The Associates, you may have heard of them.
We did try and get something back from them but records only go back so far and of course, we have none of the paperwork as it was ver 10 years ago. Any excuse, even those who say you do not need to show any documents have not been able to help us and I think we would have had qutie a pay out. With these,it isn't just a queston of getting the money back, but it is justice, they really sold us down the river and we lost our home. I am sending lots of positive vibes to you hun.

That's awful Jo, I'm really sorry you had to go through that and lose the home which you'd worked hard for and meant to much to you. Thank goodness you managed to get your bungalow, and in such a lovely area too.
I had fun (not really!) shampooing all the carpets yesterday - very tiring but seeing what came off them (not that they looked grubby), it definitely needed doing and it's all looking good now. Still haven't got the sand out of the car since our trip to the seaside, but I think my motivation has gone off the boil so it might have to stay there a bit longer!

I did my car upholstery, and couldn't believe what came out. I have to get the rug machine back from daughter. Once again she's taken "no hurry" to mean keep it forever. We'll probably have to go get it. I like the to do the carpets once a year, before we close up the house against the cold.

I was like you love when we had carpet, but because we have so many little ones indoors now, we have vinyl floors now with a large rug. I do however prefer carpets, they are so cosy.

We got carpeting because it was less expensive than hardwood, and vinyl won't sell the house when we list it. There are some great vinyl products now, look like stone or hardwood, we hope to put in the next house. Then no major cleaning issues. I'll do carpet in the bedrooms, but I want easy cleaning of the rest.

Wow...sounds like quite the hassle regarding the housing ...I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through such difficult times.
Carpeting...In my house (the one before I got married) I made sure the bedrooms had carpet and tiled the rest. I had an area rug in the living room. It truly is much easier. I hope to never go without carpeting in the bedroom. Something about a cold floor after getting out of a cozy bed really doesn't appeal!
Hubby and I cleaned the carpet in the living room (the house hubby lived in that I moved into when we got married) and it felt like we would never get all of the dirt up.
I'm enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Wyoming...the main reason why I've fallen behind on Wheekers. Today was bill paying day, but I refused to setup the computer in my parents' RV...I'm outside in the gazebo with the computer. I should have done this earlier. It is lovely. I hear the creak running behind the RV and it is quite cold (49 degrees F).
There is a possibility that my trip will last longer than planned. I may be gone for a whole month. Hubby is checking with his boss to see if he can fly out to join me the last week.
I flew to Utah on 8/26 and drove to Wyoming on 8/27 and have been staying in my parents' RV. We stayed up late every night playing games. We played Play Nine, Mexican Train and Rummy. On 8/30 my parents went to Lava Hot Springs. It has been really weird staying in the RV alone. There is one thing to be alone when you know people and then another when you don't know anyone around. Yesterday, good friends of my parents invited me over for dinner and games. It was absolutely lovely!!
My parents come back this Saturday night, so it will get back to being crowded in the RV, but I'm really looking forward to playing more games!
