Do ya' all have fave Piggy websites you'd like to share? So many out there, I'd like to find GOOD ones and not ones full of misinformation, thanks. Still working on names for my two new girls. Leaning towards Kathryn for the calico and Katrina for the blonde...need to look up "official" color names, obviously.

In our Wheekerpedia Resource Thread, there are lists of websites by country. We can't keep checking that they are all still valid, so you may find many no longer are. We don't list other guinea pig forums, unless they have specific information not available here. Cavycages.com has great information on cage sizes and designs, and I think they may sell C&C cage kits, but I'm not sure. Guinealynx.come is a good medical and information site, with a lot of different areas of information. There are so many sites available now, it's hard to keep up with them all.

Thank you Jo - it is my name although most people call me Treen. It cuts out people asking me where my waves are anyway!

Cavy Madness always had a great ethos and information. Is the forum still active? I remember checking a while back and nothing had happened for months. Glad the website is still going and helping people!

I follow Cavymadness on Facebook. They have a lot of good information. I have www.guinealynx.info on a permanent tab on my browser, and cross check most information have the veggie/fruit charts to help with diet planning, but safe/dangerous meds lists, which can be vital, if the vet isn't a guinea pig vet.

I remember looking for the forum when you mentioned it, Bean, and I think I only found it on Facebook at the time. I clicked on the link Ch3lc listed, and got to the info pages. I haven't checked if there's a way to a forum, as I'm running way behind today

You can access the cavy trust online, and even take the online seminars from anywhere in the UK, but not from the US. One of our former members does live nearby, and used to take her pigs to Vedra. I really wish we had a Vedra in this country, and a cavy trust. It's basically a gathering of guinea pig information, all in one place.

I am sorry you don't have one love and frankly surprised. I think the USA tends to be more on the ball than the UK in many ways so I am surprised to hear this.

Don't forget, Jo, where pet popularity is concerned, we have states bigger than the whole UK, and just as you couldn't drive to Scotland to a good guinea pig or rabbit vet, we can't go that far, or even really find the best vets in other states. There's a great guinea pig vet in San Diego, but it's on the other side of the country, and I can't get there. It's all about what pets are popular enough for vets to bother to learn much about them. Dogs and cats are popular enough, everywhere, to always be able to find a good vet for them. Livestock vets are more common in large agricultural areas, but not in suburban or mix use areas, so having being allowed to have chickens in the backyard doesn't mean we can find a livestock vet to treat them.
