But not for Christmas Just spent Sunday morning trying to brighten up my son's classroom. There's more to be done, but we've made a start.

I don't know what's happened here. All the photos are not displayed on my phone. Is it the same for you? Fixed now; rogue spaces at the beginning of the IMG tags. User error

Oooh good work! I'm sure the kids will all enjoy having a more pleasant space to work in. Who came up with the ideas for what to do and how to do it?
How old is your son?

Next step complete: painted a border along the top of the wallpaper. Shortly be putting up notice boards. Watch this space!

You and your wife could do one of those makeover tv shows! Just a few simple changes really make it look so much smarter, and I'm sure the kids feeling proud of their classroom will make them feel more productive.
Why are some of the tables covered in the blue cloth?

The blue covers are a Chinese thing to keep the tables clean, though I'm not convinced they work.

It doesn't take much to brighten things up. Just a little imagination and elbow grease

Wow, great change! So much brighter and more cheery. I think the surroundings really do make a difference. I can't wait to see the painted border over the wall paper

The border is there already. It's just a 2cm thick blue line along the top of the wallpaper. Nothing fancy, just a low budget finish!

Wow! Great job! If I were a young child, I'd much rather learn in that room than in it's original condition

You are welcome love. When I #was a small child in the 60's school was a very frightening place as the teachers were so strict. I am so glad that nowadays children get to enjoy school and do not have the fear that I used to have. When you are scared stiff you do not learn.
