Lovely! The bows are great and I love the Christmas skirt for the table!

The skirt was around the base of the tree, but it showed too much of the plant stand to even begin to think it was a table, so we tried lowering it, and it looks much better. There's no place for gifts right under the tree, so they'll have to go on the floor, but that's okay. Since it's just the two of us, that's all we need Since I cannot get SmugMug working, no idea why not, but I cannot get that longer address on my computer, I thought I would try Tapatalk again, and post pictures from my phone. I'll try to post more pictures, now that I have a way to do it, again.

Hurray, let's start with those burlap people!
I'm thinking I might move the pigs into the fireplace (which we rarely use anyway, and definitely won't if they're there!) to make room for our tree. A month or so of squashing up to fit extra stuff in the room! The cages are much deeper than it, so I'll have to get a bit of wood under the front to stop them tipping. But it's my best plan so far....

Sounds like a plan. I'm sure the pigs will be happy to be where the action is, even if in a smaller area.
That's the great thing about the table top tree. I have it on a plant stand. The whole thing takes up about 18 inches. We used to have to rearrange the furniture to fit in a floor standing tree, but no more.
Do you get a real tree, or have a fake one? I remember having to climb under the real tree to get water in the tree stand, risking knocking over the tree and spilling water all over the gifts. I'm glad not to be doing that any longer.
Hubby put away the burlap people. I don't know if I can transfer the picture so I can post it. I'll try.

There is no room underneath our tree either ladies because we have to have the protecting guard around it but there will only be a couple of pressies so it will be fine. I love your tree's skirt too hunni, ours is a very pretty plastic one with a Christmas design all over it.

We have an artificial one we usually bring out. It's quite a nice one, and is pretty slim, so great considering we don't have much spare space. We occasionally get a real one though, especially if we're going to be around for Christmas which isn't always the case.
I do love the smell of real ones, although my husband just thinks about the needles dropping everywhere!
You can get the Nordman ones which don't drop, but they don't have that lovely piney smell either and I think that's what I love most about having a real tree. I could always get a Nordman and buy some pine oil for my oil diffuser?!
I bought a real one in a pot a few years back, the idea being that we could bring it for a few years, repotting it as needed. But it didn't make it through the first summer, and I'm not sure what I did wrong. It was a nice idea though!

Our neighbors back in Weare started buying the potted trees, and planting them in the spring. We have to deal with keeping potted trees living until the ground thaws and warms enough to plant them, which I wouldn't think you need to do. They planted a grove of the trees using those Christmas trees. I think they did it for 10 years, and might have lost three trees that needed to be replaced. It's a great way to build a tree border to block neighbors or an unsightly part of a yard. We've had that tree skirt for as long as I can remember. It was always in the box of tree trimmings that got brought out each year. We no longer have to protect the tree or gifts from the bunnies or the pigs, though I think the pigs would love to weave their way through the legs of the plant stand. I think I have at least 100 grids for C&C cages, now that I rarely need them anymore Using the pine oil in the diffuser is a great idea, and will make the house smell great! Sort of like what I'm doing with the cinnamon and cloves. I also boil pickling spices on the stove, if one of us gets a head cold. Clears out the sinuses with no medications.

Oh I like that idea - a row of Christmas memories!
I got a Christmas room spray from Trawden Soap Kitchen a few years back (just essential oils and water) - I think I won it in a Christmas raffle. It was so lovely, all the nice festive smells and it really stuck around after you sprayed it. I wish I'd made a note of what was in it so I could recreate it - I'd say there was at least orange, pine, clove and cinnamon.

Ooh, that sounds nice, Bean. I wonder if you can google it, and get that information. Either way, it's worth trying a few versions. You might find the perfect one!
Yes, it was a row of Christmas memories. Well put! That grove of trees has gotten quite big, over the years. Kind of strange to plant trees for privacy, when we were surrounded by woods, but I think they wanted more of a backdrop to that edge of their cleared property, than actually blocking anyone's view.

I have asked Paul to get some nice smelling candles, it adds so much to the Christmas atmosphere. We always had a real tree when I was little and I can still remember the smell, it was gorgeous.

I've smelt some lovely festive candles at friends' house, but I had a sniff of a Christmas scented candle in a shop the other day, and it was really sickly. I hope Paul finds you a nice one, Jo!
I guess if you have sprawling woods around you, a little border in your garden would be a nice way to make your garden feel a bit more cosy. The best of both worlds!

If Paul can't find what you want, Jo, you can make some with veggie oil and spices. Just light it for a while, and it should give off a nice scent. I have quite a few old storm lamps. I should put the spices in one, and light it. It might work.
Still working on posting the burlap people, but I will get a picture of the exercise bike. I have the SmugMug photos set to only be viewed by me, and I haven't been able to change that. I may have to delete the photos, and start again.

He did thank you Bean hunny although he hasn't lit any yet. I wish I did have sprawling woods around me love but whilst the view is not bad, it could be improved upon lol! Thank you Piggles sweetie, that is a good alternative. The ones he bought are small and red and I don't see them lasting very long but I know how their scent and they are going to be lovely.

Weh hey! Nice to meet them at last - I like their straggly fingers and toes, they look great!
And bravo with getting to grips with smug mug too.
How are you getting on with your scented candles, Jo? I found an offer on some festive essential oils - wild orange, cinammon, clove, pine, nutmeg and ginger. So I shall have fun experimenting with my own perfect blend using my diffuser!

Shades, how did you get the picture to post? I'm still floundering. I'm making progress, but really, really slowly. They are cute, aren't they. They fit in with the Fall feeling and look, and were just enjoyable to see when I looked out the window. The essential oils and a diffuser seem like a better option than candles, but I know some people just really like the whole effect of a candle. Glad you found some oils on sale, Bean I played around with Paint last night, but didn't get as far as I would like to have.

They are really cute Shades hunni, I love their smiley faces. No scented candles so far Bean sweetie, or at least we have some but they haven't been used yet. Good luck with your scented candles, they are going to smell wonderful.
