I've had bread pudding, but not bread and butter pudding. Chocolate in bread pudding might work, though I don't really think it's necessary. www.marthastewart.com/1155227/classic-bread-puddingThere are so many recipes for bread pudding, some with booze which I can skip. We also never used brioche of challah, but just used whatever bread we had available. The original bread pudding used up stale bread, back when the basic bread wasn't anything fancy. So adding chocolate would work, depending on what else was in the pudding. We turned our clocks back two weekends ago, and I'm finally feeling normal. We were talking about it on Facebook, that whatever reason the time started changing in the first place, it's counter productive to continue to do it. It takes anywhere from a week to a month for people to get their internal clocks sorted, and while they're doing that, they aren't learning at school or producing at work at 100%. I hope you manage to get your system sorted after losing an hour. Interestingly, Hubby was tired early, although when the clock said it was 10 p.m., our internal clocks said it was 9 p.m. He was all set to go to sleep, while I couldn't get to sleep for hours. I'm not sure that didn't contribute to him being a bit off the past couple of weeks. I hope your son doesn't have extra trouble getting up in the morning, Bean.

It is nice without the chocolate Piggles love, in fact, I would prefer it. It is ages since I have made one though as I am the only one who will eat it. That link sound pretty similar to the break and butter pudding we make here.
Things will start to feel OK here for me Piggles love although yesterday was awful. I much prefer it when the clocks go back.

My son got up fine this morning, thanks! He was momentarily confused as he hadn't changed his clock, so was trying to work out what time it 'really' was when it went off (hoping he could go back to sleep for an hour, although it would be the other way round of course!) until he realised that his alarm clock adjusts itself!
My daughter and I must be tuned into the daylight levels (not that the curtains let much in) as we've just woken up naturally at the same time both mornings anyway.
It looks like we've got another day with plenty of sunshine which is great - everything looks much nicer with the sun on it.

All of the New England states say they want to stop the time changes, but all are dependent on all of the others doing it, too. Not sure why they can't all get together and make a decision. It seems as if the debate rises around each time change, then fades away. Lip service.
I'm pretty much back to normal, though I did sleep in this morning. Not because of the time change. I think the digestive flare up has made me really tired.
Remington Arms, the oldest gun manufacturer in the US, has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This is a chapter that calls for restructuring, often detailed by a court, to improve the company's ability to pay its debts. That doesn't always work, but is usually the first try. The other option is to close the company, and sell all it's assets to pay its debts. That's what's happening to Toys R Us, which tried Chapter 11, and couldn't reorganize to make it work. Now all the stores are closing, and all of the assets will be sold off at a certain amount on the dollar. Each creditor will get something, just probably not a whole lot.
RA said the outcry against gun violence has hurt its business so much, it can't meet its obligations. Considering that the election of 45 created a mass gun buying binge for everyone who finally had a president who represented them, I think there's a lot more to this than the recent outcry against gun violence. Paul McCartney marched in one of the rallies, and I'm sure other celebrities did, too. That brings a lot more interest than regular, non celebs bring to an issue.
Bright sunshine, with temps this week heading into the 60s. Spring weather, though that doesn't mean the last of the snow. We should start seeing a lot more grass, that doesn't get covered with snow, once April arrives.

Haha poor chap Bean sweetie, I prefer the winter one too when you have an hour extra. I bet he wasn't the only person to have done that. I thought spring had sprung here too piggles love but it is really grisly. How is the weather where you are Bean hunni, it is raining and miserable here?

It's rainy and miserable here today too, Jo! And I'm about to go out in it - boo! I'm glad we had a nice couple of days before this.
It's been great to see the turnouts for the gun control rallies over there. Something needs to change and I hope that despite all the people who only care about having rights to won as many guns as they like, and all the money that's behind that, that things really can be changed. As you say, 3piggles, the gun issue is really symptomatic of a lot of other problematic attitudes and behaviours, so it's be great to see a more pervasive change in the mood of the country.

Started out sunny here, but clouds have moved in. Rain and maybe a bit of snow mixed in in places, for the next couple of days. Also temps in the 50s and possibly 60s, so although we have a good 6 inches of snow on the ground, enough has already melted that I think the rain and warm weather will take the rest. We got a flyer from one of those lawn care companies that assesses what your lawn needs, then does the work. Considering what we've already spent, all to have no grass in some places, and spotty grass in others, I want to give them a try. Hubby is into doing all the work, but it's not working, and it's costing a fortune. I'd love to have the whole lawn down professionally, but that's way too expensive for us. If this company can actually treat the lawn/dirt so we get grass growing, then hubby can maintain it. He's not sold, so no decision, yet. I think, once the snow is gone, he'll feel more like having someone do something with the lawn that doesn't involve him doing a whole lot Also, it shouldn't break the bank I hope you get some sun soon, or at least breaks of sun in all the yucky weather. A few days of dark and dreary, and I'm ready to sleep all day! I hope so, too, Bean. I think the gun issue has reached a breaking point, and these kids are the ones to make something happen. I guess civic responsibility skips a generation, as my daughter and her friends aren't interested in doing anything except voting. Whatever her generation is called, they totally wimped out on trying to make life better for anyone

It isn't brilliant here either today Bean hunni, constant rain but I have seen a little sun. The gun situation is way out of control on both sides of the Atlantic. In the cities here there are kids as young as 8 carrying knives and guns.

Even though we've got some cold and rainy weather, the forecasted return of the beast from the east seems to have disappeared, so we shouldn't have a snowy Easter!
Sorry your lawn isn't thriving, even with a lot of attention from hub. I hope this company can get things going. I expect they'll be knowledgeable about the soil/ weather conditions in each area and what problems it can lead to.

Children carry guns and knives over here, too It's a sign of maturity, acting like the big boys, committing crimes and going to jail. They count on their juvenile records being sealed, and only being sent to kids jail for a short time, until they are adults. A recent law change also makes it impossible to sentence a child to life in prison, even if the child committed an adult crime in an adult way. Their undeveloped frontal lobe gets them out of a life sentence, but still allows them to drive, vote, own vehicles, guns, etc. Seems a bit skewed? We're in a very varied weather pattern. Rain came in overnight, and moved on today, only to return tomorrow, etc. Temps could get into the 70s in a few days, which will take any remaining snow. April coming in like a lamb, I guess. I hope your weather gets a bit better, warmer, if it has to be rainy.

Sorry Piggles love, I don't know where my head is today. Yes it is all about the tough super cool thing and carrying a gun, in their eyes makes them look big. It isn't cold here today but very wet.

Amaryllis. There are 4 bulbs in the pot, and the bulbs produce multiple spikes. They seemed to die off last year, and not do much, then came roaring back this year. They are about 10 years old.
