They are doing amazing. Muffins is a bit more skittish. But she's coming around and is developing a big personality. Sound has gotten even bigger..my dude is a beast. Here are some pictures! Sorry about the single posts. Doing this on a phone is difficult.

There was a point that my husband wasn't sure about muffins. But because she is a rescue piggy, I knew she needed extra attention. I am her third home in the short six months she has been alive. Now she is just as big as a butt as spud is and she found her furever home.
It's so crazy looking back and seeing spud in the state he was in, compared to now. They are so spoiled and of course they are free rang in our condo. They think they're dogs. They even go to the park often with the kids...they are family and there is a part of me and my husband wanting to add another..but no...just in case we become piggy grandparents. So far we don't think it will happen lol.. muffins is a sassy girl and won't let spud rumble truth near her.
But if she does end up preggos... Spud will get fixed right after. We will be keeping one or two of the pups.

Thank you so much for sharing such lovely pictures hunni. I wondered though, how do you take them to the park?

I'm not sure the flower hats will catch on, but what adorable piggers!
Aside from any general feelings I have about breeding, given the severe health problems Spud had last year, and his continued allergies, I would be very reluctant to breed from him as any potential genetic weaknesses could be passed on. It can have a massive effect on the health and lifespan of the babies which isn't good for them and could be upsetting and costly for you.
I would choose to make sure they couldn't breed (whether by living arrangements or surgery) and if you have space to welcome more piggers into your life, I'm sure there will be some lovely souls out there awaiting adoption!
It's great to hear they are doing well and bring so much pleasure into your lives - that's how it should be with these delightful creatures!

Absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for the pigtures I'm so glad they are both getting along, that Spud is healthy, and that Muffin has found her furever home I have to agree with Bean on not getting Spud neutered. Whatever his problems were, they could be genetic, and could be passed to his children. You did an excellent job getting him through it all, but it wasn't easy for you or for him. I'm sure you don't want his children to have the same problems, or to have to go through what Spud went through, if they even have a forever family that will pay a lot of vet bills. There really are a lot of guinea pigs in shelters, who came into the world the same way, or through the Oopsies that happen when pet stores get the sexes wrong. Breeders are still breeding more, most of whom will be adopted, kept until the kids get bored, then dumped at the shelters. You and hubby are great piggy parents, and if you can make room for more, the shelter piggies will love you for making them part of your wonderful family
