Haha! Have you underlined that date to make sure the weather understands that enough is enough?! Hope it cools down for you anyway, hot nights are a slog. And I'm intrigued by what the 4am video is - it's not ringing a bell.

That is so pretty Shades hunni, I love it. Oh dear, the thirties doesn't sound good, far too hot. I enjoyed that video. They do say that most suicides occur in the early hours of the morning and that is is the time when people are going to feel really down.

I wasn't feeling suicidal. Last night I took some cold medicine and one of the side effects is feeling thirsty. I'm feeling tired now. It's been a long day

Nice chart, putting the zodiac with the seasons/weather. Also rather pretty. I'm not into the zodiac, though I acknowledge a lot of information is right, such as the type of people fitting each sign. I just don't believe horoscopes, or maybe I should say I don't believe the people writing the horoscopes.
Are Chinese buildings built with Feng Shui in mind? I've seen some TV shows with Chinese people trying to fit Feng Shui into houses built by American contractors, without Feng Shui in mind. It's not easy for them to find houses that fit meet all their requirements.

I am glad to hear it Shades love but what I mean is people who have mental health issues tend to feel worse at this time. I hope you had a good sleep. I could do with some Feng Shui Piggles hunni, I would love a bit of emotional peace.

I can't help but wonder if we westerners need to adopt more of the eastern ways, just for some peace of mind. Even if there's not truth to any of it, if we believe there is, it should work. If I can make myself feel better simply by smiling and thinking about something that makes me happy, why wouldn't other things that effect our state of mind work just as well.
That comes back to, we don't building houses to fit Feng Shui. We build houses to be easy to more furniture in and out of, to fit the most houses in a specific place, to have to build as few roads as possible for those houses. We don't worry about the house numbers, how they face, where the stairs are in relation to the door, etc., which must make it difficult for practitioners of Feng Shui to find suitable houses in the US.

I think we could learn a thing or two from Eastern ways too Piggles hunni, I would love that serenity many of them have.

Unfortunately, most serenity comes from religious beliefs. We need to find a way to be serene without religion. No crutches. Just us doing what we need to be serene. It has to be possible to be serene without a crutch!

You are absolutely right Piggles love. It has to be a state of mind.

The advent of social media actually makes it harder to do anything without a crutch. If you think about it, you have friends who are all interested in the same things that interest you, and generally have the same political and social views. We are each others crutches, each others support network. Now we just have to figure out how to make each other serene Shades, I missed the TED talk. That's great! I love TED, anyway, and haven't seen one for a while. I live his conspiracy theory, lol There was something else, though, from my childhood or early adulthood, maybe Twilight Zone, where some man with a solemn voice said, "It's 4 a.m. Do you know...?" I can't remember what he asked us if we knew. When you posted the 4 a.m., that was the first thing that came to my mind. It will probably pop into my head at the least convenient time, and by the time I get to posting about it here, I will have totally forgotten it, again.

In the 60's Piggles love, there used to be a great series called "Mystery and Imagination" For their day they were quite frightening. I used to watch the "Twilight Zone" too and that was really good.

I still watch Twilight Zone, when I find it airing on a station I get. It's great to see all the actors who were just getting started then, but have become household names since

I like watching things like that too Piggles love for the same reason and always marvel at how young they look.
