Greetings! My name is Alix, formerly known on the boards as aL (I think!). It was many, many years ago! I've been out of pigs for a good 8-10 years now.
I now have two young boys of my own, aged 7 and 8.5 years. They are at an age now that I have found myself with a little more free time, a little less stress! I umm'd and ahh'd about going ahead with getting Guinea Pigs again, but we went ahead with it on a whim and we couldn't be happier. They are in a smaller cage at the moment, but I have C & C grids on their way in the post, so some time this week I'll be working on getting their 2x4 indoor cage ready for them.
This is Guineo and Koko. Guineo was originally adopted with his brother, whom we named Fred. Unfortunately Fred passed away quite suddenly about 5 days after he came home with us. We then adopted Koko (short for Tapu Koko - a Pokemon), who is sweet as pie and gets along so well with Guineo!
I'm looking forward to sharing a bit more of the boys and getting to know you a bit better.

Hey Alix (it's Treen) - it's great to see you back here! We've had Wheekies sticking her head round the door recently too after getting pigs again - it's a new wave!
I'm really sorry to hear about Fred, what a shock that must have been. I'm glad you managed to find Guineo another pal, and they're certainly gorgeous boys! Funny that the new one's name is Pokemon inspired, you did say they were popular in your house!
Happy C&C constructing! Mine's a monster now as it was two-storey anyway, but has recently had an annex added to accommodate an anti-social female we recently acquired - I'll get a picture of it sorted!

Thanks everyone!
Treen, I’d love to see this cage now you’ve talked it up so much! I’m always looking for inspiration. It certainly sounds like your brood keeps growing! I’d love to adopt another pair or even a trio but time is the biggest factor. Two pigs are so easy to look after. Maybe once the boys (children) are a bit older and require less of my time one on one.
Here are a couple pics I snapped of Koko just now. Isn’t he just adorable and so loved!

Aaaah two beautiful and much-loved boys!
Oh my cage will be an anti-climax now - it's just the dominant feature in our living room!
