Went to comic con yesterday that was a fun day. It was my 2nd time going. I really enjoyed it even though you do get nervous. Haven’t really been up to much else as the storm ruined plans on the 19th. But on the posture side at least it didn’t affect comic con. I've always wanted to attend one of those Comic Cons; they always look like so much fun. Way back in 1989 I attended a small comic book convention held at a Holiday Inn Hotel and the biggest difference was that no one dressed up in costumes. Also, not a single woman was in sight there. Ah, how times change.

Groundhog Day is a made-up day when a captive ground hog is brought out in front of a large group of gawkers, and it's all filmed for TV. The ground hog is supposed to look at its shadow and use that to determine how many more weeks of winter we're going to have. Obviously, since all the TV lighting is creating a great deal of shadow, even the people can't tell what shadow is created by the sun. The people controlling the ground hog claim it saw or didn't see its shadow, and we will or won't have 6 more weeks of winter. If groundhogs could read, I'm sure they'd check the Farmer's Almanac, which has consistently been the best forecaster of future weather. So once all the festivities are over, and the groundhog is totally blinded by all the camera flashes, it's returned to its alleged burrow. I don't think the burrow is real, or that it lives there. I think the groundhog goes back to a home with a person. 2022 both groundhogs died. One died before Groundhog Day, and the other died right after. Punxsutawney Phil died right after this year's Groundhog Day. He'd been the groundhog for many years. I'm not sure how many groundhogs have been used, but I'm sure it's quite a lot. All to entertain humans getting tired of shoveling snow.
Glad you made it to Comic Con. Did you see anyone interesting?
How are the little guys doing?
