Probably developed the muscles he needs moving heavy objects all the time. Glad he wasn't putting himself out in any way Our main TV, which is, I think, 55", died. Vic and I were trying to carry it out to the utility trailer, so he could take it to the recycling center, when a neighbor stopped and helped. Glad he did, because while the TV wasn't super heavy, not like a washing machine, it was bulky and hard for me to manage.

Well, I'm grateful that TVs are lighter than they used to be. Back in the late 90's I worked for a place that had Zenith as a client, and we had to move TVs around for photo shoots- it was hard work and unpleasant to shove those beasts around the studio. Long Live the Flatscreen TV!

We've had the console TVs, the TV-in-a-whatever it's called where the doors shut so it looks like a piece of furniture. I remember when a TV could weigh as much as a fridge. Same with record players and radios. In high school we had a console version that looked like a sideboard. It was great to dance around, as it didn't feel our elephant feet stomping around, but I wouldn't have wanted to move it! One of those things like the fridge, washer and dryer that doesn't get cleaned under or behind very often

I also recall when my father brought home our first VCR- it was metal, large, heavy, and loaded from the top. In later years they were mostly plastic and weighed about five pounds (if that), probably.
Nowadays everybody's got those streaming boxes, which you could probably fit into a large pocket! (I do miss DVDs, though.)

We have ROKU streaming boxes, and they would at least easily fit into my purse I don't know what the Xfinity 10G is all about, but that's probably another way to get streaming through a box that would fit in a desk drawer

One last grumble for April before we start a new month: I found time to go back to Blender, and found out that it's not like riding a bike! It's been long enough to where I've forgotten almost everything! I've spent so much time running around taking care of everything else falling apart, and now I have to start back at square one again. I suppose it's not that bad- I'll start to remember it again as I go through the lessons again. Good thing that there isn't a time limit on how long I can use them- I paid for 'em, and get to use & re-use them in perpetuity.

I'm glad you have the tutorials to keep. Not being able to do Blender and editing you want to do has to be making the current situation that much more frustrating. Perhaps not looking for an editing job, as that's not the job that will get you out of Aramak, will give you enough time to work on Blender and other editing things. Just doing that may make life seem a little less frustrating and depressing <3
