I now have a new little friend for Beatrix. On Sunday, thanks to John looking for a second hand lawn mower. He saw an advert, 'free to good home', mum had 3 babies, unexpected pregnancy (pet store guinea pig)' so I knew it wasn't a back street breeder who was giving babies away to just anybody. The two baby boys had gone to a new home and there was a little girl left (as well as mum and another female, the lady wanted to keep both girls together which was good) so its as if its like it was fate that the little girl was left. I had already searched for a couple of days for a female at rescues but with no luck. Many directed me to Tameside rabbit and Guinea Pig rescue *sigh* so I had to say why I didn't want to go there. One place did have two bonded girls but I couldn't split them up and because of high vet bills, I can really only afford two piggies.
I've triple checked her sex and shes definatly female. So thanks to my hubby John, we now have a lovely little girl for Beatrix. Bea just wasn't as active since loosing Squeekie so I'm sure she will be a lovely friend for her when I introduce them. Will sort out a picture soon. Still need to choose a name for her. She is an abby mix and is brown and white.

Hello Jackie and Bea!
Aww, and hello new little girl. Well Ive just messaged your Mummy to say that I want to submit the name of "Amy" to be considered for you... and I havent even met you yet little one.
Aww, Im so happy for you, you couldnt ask for a better Mummy or sister or family.
Well done Bea, you can be a big sister now - a lot more responsibility huh! When you meet, be kind and gentle, just like I know you will.
Lots of love,
Auntie Anna.xxx

Aww I am glad you've found a little sister for Beatrix to take care of, Jackie. At least now Beatrix will have some thing to perk her up a little. Good thing Squeekie taught her all the things she needed so she can pass it down to the little Sis...well done Squeekie! I like Amy as well Anna, either that or maybe something unusual like Coralie or something lol. Mweekie!

Aww thank you everyone and for the name suggestions. Sorry Val, but Anna is right, I'd only be thinking of Blanche from Corrie everytime I said the name lol One name I kept going back to was Maisie and I made a final decision this morning so my new little girl is going to be called Maisie. Beatrix and Maisie sound lovely together don't they? Well here is my little abby Maisie A couple of pics of Maisie showing her lovely light brown belly. And her left side and right side She looks so tiny near her log tunnel And a couple more The darker brown on her is like an agouti pattern. I will try and film her soon. I have some new correx arriving on tuesday so I'll sort that out so it will be like a new cage and then introduce both girls
