That is a wonderful cage Kaylin, lol, but I can barely afford the one I have put on the thread. My Dad is making it for me and the family all like the design, especially as I have to fit it into a shed as well lol. Thanks for the idea though. Mweekie!

Wow Mweekie, that is so nice looking. I'm not going to let my piggies see that, they will get jealous and want one too. I think your piggies are going to love it. Make some safety changes to the ramp and your set. ;D

Hi, wow the cage looks fantastic! I'm sure your dad's will be even better when its finished! My dad made a hutch for our first family guinea-pig (Mr. White) back in 1980 (3 years before i was born )!! He used a piece of kitchen work top for the floor and it was great because it didn't absorb the urine and was much easier to keep clean! After Mr. White passed on (at the ripe old age of 7!)we got two piggies (Bubble and Tud! Tud was my first guinea-pig, she started off as Squeak, but somehow ended up as Tud! can't remember why !!) and two bunny rabbits, the bunnies went in the large home made hutch and we bought a hutch for the piggies. The piggies hutch didn't last well, the wooden floor absorbed the urine and the doors eventually fell off, i think the roof leaked too ! So dad made another hutch for them. To this day the two home made hutches are still standing round the side of my parents house after housing generations of piggies (and a few rabbits from time to time)for 26 years !!! Can't wait to see the pictures when your's is done, i hope it lasts as long as ours have, your piggies will feel like royalty in their new home ! Juliet

Do you reckon the cage/enclosure on the first page will be big enough for 4 piggies? I really wanted to get 4 of them, but I am very unsure if I should in case it will be too small. What do you lot think? Mweekie!

I have only decided to get 2 piggies now. I don't think I will have enough dedicated time for 4 of them and I wouldn't want to neglect any of them. So I have decided to be safe and go for 2 for now. Mweekie!

Mum's ordered one this morning from Homebase...I don't know what one she has got, but she says it's better than the one I was looking at and cost slightly more as well. It's going to be a very, very, very, very early birthday present (my birthday is in July), so I am mega pleased Going to look on Homebase's website now to see if I can find it lol Mweekie!
