I was sitting with hooman mommy, when she suggested we take a short walk to the "bathroom". Apparently hoomans have special places for keeping themselves clean, and it takes all sorts of big and little things to do it.
When we got there, hooman mommy showed me this thing she called a mirror. I didn't like it at all. First, it was really confusing, because I could see mommy holding a piggy, snuggling the piggy and getting snuggles back. So I hid my face under her chin. But I couldn't just leave it alone. That piggy was with my hooman mommy, and that just wasn't right. I know my piggy mates, and that piggy was a complete stranger.
Then I realized, she was doing all the same things to the piggy in the "mirror" that she was doing to me. If she kissed me, she kissed the other piggy. If she petted me, she petted the other piggy.
Also, if I hid my face, so did the other piggy, and if I tried to get a closer look at the other piggy, it tried to get a closer look at me, too.
Hooman mommy kept saying the piggy I was looking at was me, but that didn't make any sense, because I was doing the looking, and it was looking back at me.
I finally got back to the cage with my cage mates (none of them was the piggy I saw), and I asked Zippy and Little Girl if they knew anything about a piggy mommy kept in the bathroom. Zippy said he remembered a piggy looking at him in a "mirror" at the last house, when he was just a bub. He said hooman mommy even showed him pigtures of that piggy, but he never saw that piggy around the house or in the cage.
We think hooman mommy is trying to get us confoosed, and doing a really good job. We're going to be on the lookout for these other piggies. They better not come into our territory, or they're going to be sorry.
