Oh what a piggy pignic ;D It looks lovely Beth, do your girls enjoy cherry tomato's? Peachy, Clover and Jasmine enjoy the larger tomato's, especially Peachy who I call my little fruit bat as she loves her fruit, even though I limit her and she just has them as a treat. She adores seedless grapes to. I love your little piggy btw

Mm looks great, you're making me hungry Most of my pigs like cherry tomatoes better than bigger ones, with a few exceptions!

Bordeaux likes tomatoes of any sort and also grapefruit and oranges, but I've heard to be careful with all of these as they could cause mouth sores. Milano LOVES peas best and Dodo likes baby corn and carrots, but really, both of them like it ALL! When I hold them after dinner I tell them they have either strawberry or cilantro breath! And if I take one of them out to hold, the other one rushes over to eat the others's favorite food before they get back, little stinkers!

Oh well, I'll have to start sharing our cherry tomatoes with my piggies Your so right about mouth sores Beth, thats why I limit my piggies fruit, plus too much natural sugar isn't good for them. I try telling my little Peachy fruit bat, but she isn't impressed lol. It also helps if the fruit is cut up into small pieces, to avoid mouth sores. Our pear tree's are budding so a few more months and they can have some home grown pears.

I love that you call Peachy a fruit bat-so cute! I cut most of my girls' food into small pieces-it's small anyway since I get it from the salsd bar at the grocery store. Should I keep it in larger pieces for more chewing action and tooth health? How are your piglets? xoxoxo

Aww thanks Kitty, they are all fine. Clover is doing well after her illness and so far Squeekie's tooth problem hasn't come back. I hope your two little girls are doing alright. I don't tend to cut the veggies up very small, but with them having hay all the time I think their teeth get enough wearing down don't they. They also have a good handful of redigrass and Timothy hay. I've never had a piggy or bunny with incisor teeth problems, only molar problems. Just a couple of times with Fiver our bunny, he's never eaten hay, so he has a constant supply of high fibre pellets, he's not needed a molar operation for 12 months now. Its such a relief as I thought he'd need an op every two months. I just thought I'd pop in one of my many favourite photo's of him. He's very cheeky compared to Thumper, always getting up to mischeif ;D jackiesguineapiggies.com/fiver/fiver20large.jpgand this is his cheeky look. I'll have to take some recent pics of the buns. They need a nail manicure, which isn't an easy job. jackiesguineapiggies.com/fiver/fiver18large.jpg

The one of Fiver standing up is priceless! Do Buns make good pets? I only had one when I was very small and lived on a farm and all I remember was it kicked a lot! Then they mysteriously "ran away" my mother said....hmmmm.

I must admit Kitty that my piggies are easier to look after, although I love the buns as though they were my own Both our bunnies can't be left to play outside the cage unsupervised because they'll tug at the carpet, sculpture the skirting boards, especially Fiver if he thinks I'm not looking lol. He will stop with a firm 'no Fiver', but he'll only do it again given the chance. They arn't as easy to handle either because ours are so big and Thumper hates being picked up. Fiver is much better, but still likes the 'chase me' game. They are both very gentle once they get their first stretchy kicks out of the way. Both are big softies and adore being stroked and will lie down flat for you. They are very good at little comands, I only have to say 'in Thumper' and he'll go straight in his cage I was really proud of that photo of Fiver, makes me want to sing Bright Eyes everytime I see it ;D
