Hi
Since Jack is only 10 weeks old is it still normally ok for there eating to be a little awol?
Like he goes through days where he basically eats all his pellets lots of straw and veggies then there's days he can't be bothered if he don't want veggies he won't we use suoolement in water.
Also still got probs in igloo department (he won't come out) so after discovering he seems to like hiding in hay lol would removing igloo for few hrs a day but placing my hay inside sort of keep him happy and me (he'll run round a little maybe) outdown run not fully sorted yet and a little bothered about leaving him out of cage now in house since dog now knows his smell
Since I can't pick him up yet myself is stroking him sat in cage a good option he doesn't seem to mind?
And last but not least hhhmmm anyone know if chipmunks can be kept in same room (obviously cleaning time they'd but put in seperate rooms to avoid accidents) but long time in there own space on seperate sides of room could they co exist together?

What I would do is to remove his igloo during the day and give him hay in the evening. Put the igloo back at night so he has somewhere to sleep. Sorry if I sound a tad harsh here but you have to kind of force (For want of a better word) him to interact with the world or you wont ever see him. I bet others have better ideas though.

Hi kp, I wouldn't leave him without hay, he needs hay available to him 24 hours/7 day a week. You mentioned he eats straw? Straw is very hard so isn't reccomend for guinea pigs, they are so low on the ground, a strand of hard thick straw could damage their eyes if he was poked with a piece. What sort of supplement ar you using in his water when he dosn't eat his veggies? Vit c decreases its value if added to water and often the taste isn't always appreciated so they may drink less or not at all. What veggies are you feeding him? He is only 10 weeks, so he's still getting used to you and his new life. Some piggies are more shy than others and take longer for their confidence to grow. Try putting little veggie treats around his cage to encourage him to come out of his igloo.Gently talk to him and stroke him like you have been doing Yes I wouldn't leave Jack to have free range time if you know your dog could get access to the room. You could let him runaround in a safe room ie Make sure all plants are well out of reach All cables are well out of the way If piggy can't get back in the cage, leave food (including some hay) and water out. Leave a note on the door for other family members, saying 'watch out! Guinea Pig About! Its just incase a piggy is behind a closed door. Just stay with him while hes out so he stays safe. Heres my page on holding a guinea pig. jackiesguineapiggies.com/handlingyourpiggy.htmlDefinatly best to keep Jack and your chipmonk from interacting, I feel very strongly that guinea pigs should only mx with their own kind. I can't see a problem having their living quarters in the same room. Not sure if chipmonks have any known diseases that can be past on to guinea pigs.

If your not sure what the supplement is, I would leave it out. If its a multivitamin, he may be getting too much so could be harmful. Just fresh water everyday is fine. Also try giving him a piece of cucumber as thats mainly full of water and after washing his veggies, just leave the excess water on so he gets a little that way to. I use a bowl of water and a bottle, but the bowl might have to changed 2 or 3 times a day, as it can get the odd stray poop in it or bedding. Mine drink out of both. Let us know if you need anymore help Do you have any photo's of Jack, would love to see him!

Oh I love the title ;D
Don't worry too much about using the camera, I'm sure mine even show off a little . Maybe get the camera out when he's nibbling his favourite veg to keep him occupied.
