Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I will probably have calenders available for purchase at the end of 2005 for the year 2006. The pictures will be my original photographs, of my own pigs and will be independantly printed. I just need an idea of numbers so I know whether to continue with the print out or not. Previews can be given (as the pictures are taken) if you would prefer to see what you might be getting before you get it.
The price and size is yet to be establised, but hopefully it won't be too expensive. For overseas buyers, a cost for postage should also be provided.
If you'd like to email me about it, you can at als_pigs@hotmail.com other wise you can post here.
Thanks guys!

All of your photos are great but if you'd like us to help you select some, let us know. One thing that I found that I try to watch for are items in the background that can distract from the actual subject and getting up close and keeping the primary subject in focus is always nice. Have fun!

How large will the images be? The reason I ask is the larger the image the less sharp, unsharp areas will be (unless they are supposed to be out of focus). For instance, the last one (that is now on my desktop) seems ultra sharp whereas the first one seems not as sharp. You can go in and try sharpening the various image with a photo-editing program but watch the sharpness since sometimes it makes the photo look weird. Another way of testing the images is to view it at the size that they will be at print. That way you can check the overall look and clarity. There are a couple of images that I think might look okay if they are sharp enough. One is with just the little single pig in the bowl of food and the other is the one of the fuzzy pig in the tree or bushes. I'll find the ones that I mean. After looking at them, I'm not sure that the tree one is sharp enpugh. Do you have larger files of them? photos.imageevent.com/bizylizy/galleryguineapigfun/visitorsgallery/gpigfun_Hillary.jpg[/img]

Yes, those are a couple of my fave photos, bust unfortunately I had my old bomby computer then and couldn't store large files as it would slow the whole thing down. This is why I'm going to try and collect a whole heaps of photos over the next few months of photo shoots to put in the calendar.
The photos I posted are downsized about four times from the original size. I have only resized them to post. I could possible use those two for something else in the calender....

It'd be a great idea if people sent in their pictures and you could use those! That way it'd be a variety of pigs! I love the first photo

I love the pic of the piggy in the pretty flowers. What do you call them there? We call them pansey's. (or would it be pansies) We call these New Guinea Impatients (or Guinea Pig flowers hee hee)
