Uploading photos to Wheekers
You can now upload photos to Wheekers. Select 'reply' and in the field titled 'attachment' (under 'subject) select 'browse' and then find the photo on your computer.
We have a limited amount of webspace for members to upload photos, so we ask that members be mindful of image size when uploading pictures. Where possible the maximum size for images posted should be 640 x 480 pixels or a file size of 100MB.
Because our storage space is limited, we do occasionally have to delete older images to make space for new ones. If you would like your thread to show all your pictures for you to look back over in the years to come rather than risk them disappearing, please upload them to your own webspace and link to them from your posts (see below!).
Posting photos already uploaded to webspace
You can also display your photos in your posts by linking to where they are stored on the internet. Look at the buttons available when you make a post - the fourth one along on the second row is to add an image. Click the button and this tag will come up
What you need to do then is find the full address of where the picture is stored (for example i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii320/wheekersforum/images/fred42.jpg) and paste that in the middle where it says URL. And then hey presto...
becomes...
Please do not link to images on other people's websites without their permission. If this happens, we will have to take the pictures down.
There are some websites that will host your pictures for free and allow you to link to them.
Here are a few (working the last time we checked, but they may have closed down):
www.villagephotos.com/
www.imageshack.us/
Please let one of the staff members know if you know of any others, so we can add them here.
