Gorgeous pictures! I love seeing great danes at the dog park. I'm sure I'll end up owning one as soon as I'm not living in a 500 sq foot apartment! Thanks for sharing : )

Amazing pics Jackie. They look like beautiful dogs and so huge. I've never seen a harlequin dane before. My neighbours in England had good friends who had two Great Danes and they always said they were the most loving dogs.

Glad you enjoyed seeing them everyone. I think the kennels is still running, its called White House Farm Kennels in Suffolk. They had alot more great Danes including Boston Danes (black and white) and Brindles. When I first saw them all, I thought I'd never remember their names, especially the fawns but I soon got to know them by looks and personality. They really are lovely dogs

Jackie you are so beautiful!!! Great photos! I can see you are a true animal lover of all species. When I was 18, I had a great dane/german shepard mix. He was the sweetest dog ever! I really loved big dogs when I was younger but as I got older I went for the medium size dogs and now that I am really old, I go for the tiny dogs. They are less work with little poos! lol I still love all sizes and all breeds. I bet it was wonderful to work at the shelter. I am going to apply for a job at my local shelters too, sometime this year. I have a frozen shoulder right now so that is preventing me from doing any lifting, but once I get better, that is a goal of mine....to work with animals in some form. Oh and I love your kitty too!

I go for the tiny dogs. They are less work with little poos! lol Lol Val, I'm sure you can imagine the size of a Great Danes lol Its actually a family run boarding Kennels and Cattery, not a shelter and the Great Danes were theirs. I enjoyed working on the boarding side but prefered working with their Danes as they were there all the time and you got to know them so well. Wish I had a picture of him but their oldest Dane was about 9, he was called Caesar. A few of the boarding dogs were nervous which is only natural and you had to be careful around a few of them. I was only nipped once though by an Old English Sheepdog. I couldn't see his face with all his hair so it was difficult to read him but I wasn't really hurt. I used to groom a little dog who smiled at me alot lol warning me to get off lol There was also a long stay boarding dog, a Yorkshire Terrier and he used to try and sneak past you if you wern't careful. One minute he's sitting in his bed, the next hes near the door seeing if he can escape lol Once your better Val, I hope you do get to work with animals, you'd be great at it.
