I'm glad you're not only enjoying it, but spending more time with your friend, Ken, and just having some fun, some real away from all the problems time

The boys seem to like their cages. I only mention that because once I got to a certain type and size of cage, the pigs didn't seem to want to leave it. Oh, they looked forward to going to the temp cage long enough for me to clean Pigloo City, but they seem to know the process, and when it's getting time to go back in for fresh hay, and they are all lined up and ready to go. They really don't want to play in the temp cage, even if they're having a good time, if they can get back to Pigloo City and the fresh hay. I think it's partly the personality of the pigs. When Morty was young, he would lead the ladies into all sorts of places they weren't allowed to go, but they didn't want to free range, just to come out and have some fun. Now I can't keep up with them free ranging, so they go from Pigloo City to the temp cage or to the run in the yard, and back again. They seem to prefer that, or it's all they really know. Pigs are funny that way.

Days
Used to be a shopping period in lots of stores when they marked down the prices of a lot of items, and it was called Dollar Days.

I found the longer the pigs were in the run, the more breaks they took from grazing. I think it's like their in-cage activities. They do things for a while, eat hay for a while, eat pellets for a while, sleep for a while, etc. I don't think it's a lack of interest, but they are small, and they fill up quickly

Our first guinea pigs, which belonged to my daughter, were kept in a store bought cage on the floor in her bedroom. Couldn't convince her to get them off the floor. One got really sick, and finally had to be put to sleep. I went from the vets to the pet store and bought the biggest rabbit cage they had. Didn't know any better at the time, but it was twice the size of the guinea pig cage the pet store sold her, so the remaining piggie was deliriously happy. I also installed the cage in the living room, took control of the pig, and he became mine. He was so miserable by himself, though, that I bought him a buddy, my beloved Zippy, and they made the most of the cage. MY two first piggies, Dallas and Zippy were the reason for so many different cage versions, all bigger than the last, lol I'm glad your babies have such a great cage. They will never notice the mistakes you made. They will just enjoy all the space they have You can always raise the cage. You can get something like THIS: BED RISERS Hubby won't have to bend over as far, and the piggies will still be in the penthouse

It's fabulous! I love it I'm sure the gang loves it, too. Raising her off the floor may have gotten her out of a cold draft across the floor, or out of dust, or both. If she's doing better, pat yourselves on the back for that, too

I think they go through phases. I always kept what they ignored, and periodically put it back in the cage. They would ignore it repeatedly, then suddenly act as if they'd found the greatest thing ever. Go figure!
