My only suggestion is to replace the pigloo with a cardboard box. Cut a door, maybe a window, and let him chew them. Pig's teeth grow constantly, so chewing helps keep the worn down. Of all the pigs I've had, the one certainty was that a cardboard box would keep the busy for hours. Once it's chewed beyond hope, get he another one. I save boxes for the cage, when I order things. The girls started a new one Wednesday, and in a week it's showing a lot of wear and tear. I have toilet paper rolls, which they go after when they're really bored, but the box they can live in, chew from inside and outside, is the biggest success of all.

If I had to guess, he's bored, and he's making things interesting for himself. Amusing himself. One of my first pigs used to move the pigloo all over the cage, which only meant a couple of inches each way. The cage was small. His cage mate was sickly, and he did everything he could with what he had, to entertain and busy himself. Zeke's doing the same, and probably having a great time doing it

Oh, excellent!!! Keeping them busy and happy, thinking, is what keeps them alive longer, well, that and a healthy diet

That's wonderful. I see why you thought she was deaf, and not think maybe she just didn't need to pay attention before

I remember Morty being the eyes and ears for Molly. He helped her up and down the ramps, stayed with her unless she was with me. They do count on their cage mates, that's for sure. If you think Biscuit is deaf, you could try some things to tell her it's food or treat time, such is flicking the lights on and off, or something like that. I'm curious if it works?

I guess it takes a while for them to adjust. She was used to have a cage mate, and may still think another cage mate is coming. After a while, she'll realize that's not going to happen and she'll adjust.

I saw this on Facebook. It looks so cool. Something to watch for a while when you don't have anything else to do.

That does sound like fun. I knew a lot of people who wore the braces to work just to help the muscles. They swore by the braces.

I think that's a good plan. Once you get back problems, they tend to return, so learning to do the job less destructively is a really good idea. I hope you see some marked improvement really soon.

Good thing you have a brace to wear. Back problems are no fun. I hope you figure out what caused the strain, and can approach that part of your routine a little differently. Nothing worse than a back problem.

Yours have ear tufts. Ours don't. I love having them in the backyard feeding station I saw the flooding in West Sussex, on Sky News. I feel so badly for those people. They wanted beach front property, not out to sea property!

Ooh, that's a great idea. Both pigs have no one to share things with, and a web cam with sound is a great way to get each of them a pal. We had it two houses ago, but not since then. Web cams are much better now!
