They are beautiful!!! Glad the clicker training is going so well. Tequilla had great focus for a few minutes, then he was off after whatever caught his attention, lol!!! Poor Molly! She may outgrow her excess enthusiasm and become more focused as she gets older!!!

Awww, love the last picture!! It looks they are getting along with each other very well. I'm glad the clicker training is coming along. I may have to look into that the next time we get a dog. Harley, bless his heart, is 82 lbs of craziness when he wants to be, lol, not to mention the very stubborn Kali - at least she's only 28 lbs. Molly's an Irish Setter, right? My hubby grew up with 2, and my neighbors had one. All were beautiful, but had boundless energy. One of hub's actually jumped out of a moving car and also jumped off the porch of a beach house that was on stilts. He was a bit crazy, though, from what I've heard.

They are so lovely and obviously enjoy each other's company. I miss not having a doggie.

LOL - sounds like a typical setter. They have such long, athletic legs that they can really jump. Mac tries to get up the banks at the back of my house and just can't manage but Molly can get up them in two strides. They do love to just run as well and really stretch those legs out. Molly and Mac love to wrestle each other out in the garden and chase each other round the front lawn. It always ends up with Mac being worn out first and just flopping out, but before that they will be running at each other and she will leap right over him. They are such good company and great ages for each other.

Must update with some new pics of the dogs. They are doing well but certainly demanding. Mac is showing typical lab chewing traits and is slowing shredding the skirting board in the utility room where they sleep, despite having lots of suitable things to chew on and play with. Molly gave me an awful scare by disappearing for the day a few weeks ago, turned out she had gone out across several fields to a neighbour and spent the day locked in their stables.
I took them both to a groomer for the first time a few weeks back and Molly's coat been so easy to care for since. She did an amazing job on both of them and gave me a lovely key ring of them posing after they were all groomed and gorgeous.
Also tried Molly out at an agility course and she did very well for a beginner so thinking might do more of that with her - she managed the see saw and the soft ended tunnel on her first day, even got her to weave through the poles properly once.

Interesting how different their focuses can be. Mac is out to chew his way to freedom, or whatever comes first. Molly is out to challenge herself and do new things. Glad she was okay when she got lost. I know you were in a right panic over that and don't blame you. They are beautiful dogs. Key chain must be great!!!

They both have such beautiful coats! I see they have found their rightful spots of the couch and look quite content.

My neighbors are doing clicker training in their two new pups. Doesn't seem to be helping much, as they are so full of energy. The constant clicking is really annoying, side effect of living around someone doing the training I guess. Hope they have as much luck with it as you did!!!

I did find it has to be done in very short bursts or they get bored. Maybe just 15 minutes at a time, once or twice a day.

They're both looking gorgeous and sound like they are adorable together. Sorry about your skirting board though!

Beautiful pups! Do they sell Kongs over there? You can stuff them with treats and doggies chew on the toy and not the woodwork! I like to fill with treats and peanut butter then freeze em!

Jeannine, I missed your post - yes kongs are very popular here. We have two of the ones you stuff (and I do the same as you - stuff with treats and peanut better and freeze - dogs even have their own jar of PB). I also have the wobble Kong which I just put a scoop of their usual kibble in - they love it. Mac does all the hard work knocking it round and Molly runs round hoovering up the kibble.
Mac had his booster and kennel cough nasal drops this morning but he was also scratching at his ears last night and vet said he does have ear infection, so he also got ear drops. He was really good. Being a big bad staffy cross as soon as the vet had finished with him he sat his head on my lap and just looked at me as if asking was it all done yet. Wish people would learn that staffies are not inherently bad natured, aggressive dogs. They are easily trained, loyal and full of energy so need patience, training and affection, in turn you'll have an amazing dog.

Had one for our last dog, and a friend came over when hub was trying to unclog the kitchen sink. Friend thought it was a fancy plunger, and tried it in the sink drain. The dog was not amused!!!
