I have no idea what she was doing LOL. But they stayed this way for awhile. Those pics gave me such a chuckle, I pictured this dialogue: "Hey, what on earth are you doing to me?" "Stay down! It's not safe! I'll protect you!" "This is all so highly irregular..."

Haha Baz!
And cute pictures. Mine have got themselves into a position like that before, and I've seen the underpig flip the top one too!

Love the Spud Muffins, lol That is so cute They appear to get along very well. This might be a dominance thing, but it's really hard to tell, and Muffin doesn't look particularly perturbed Bean, remember I had an underpig who flipped her over sister right out of the cage Being on top can be dangerous, lol

Muffins is the one that puts herself under Spud. I am actually surprised by their dynamics. I expected him to constantly bother her, however, its the other way around lol. She is the dominant one. He is so easy going and lets her do whatever she wants, only because he tolerates it

We had a bunny once who used to do that with another of our bunnies. They would lie in exactly this position so Tamm could make sure that Sophie knew who was boss lol!

It's very possibly about dominance. It may also just be something they both like to do, so they do it regularly. Either way, it's cute

Muffins is like that needy girl friend, always wanting to see what Spud is doing XD. She puts herself in that position. I never knew having two piggles is better than one. They are so funny to watch and interact with.

This is the best way to create an inexpensive cage of any size: www.target.com/p/whitmor-6-cube-wire-storage-shelves-white/-/A-52273661?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Storage+Organization+Shopping&adgroup=SC_Storage+Organization&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9002313&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3InYBRCLARIsAG6bfMQGl5Y3rHc_IJjyVqeXyhOrmDLHURvY5Dsn4WiOEadKAq3OgyztJ9YaAhHHEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.dsSorry the address is so long. Target is one store that sells the grids. Walmart used to sell the grids in all sorts of colors. Mostly they are available in black or white. If you plan to use the connectors that come with the packs like this one in the Target ad, it's best to buy packs. If you plan to use zip ties, which I use, you can buy the grids individually, online. Just google storage grids. You will need a piece of coroplast, or Corex, if you're in the UK. It's available in most DIY stores. Some sign shops also sell it by the sheet. Check on the size of the sheet, so you know if you can get it in your vehicle. You can also use linoleum, cheap is fine, as it's just to pad the grids from delicate piggy feet, and to act as a moisture barrier between the cage and whatever it's on. Check the Housing thread in our Wheekerpedia section. We have a lot of members cages shown, so lots of ideas. Also, check www.guineapigcagesstore.com/ It's the cage store at Guinea Pig Cages forum. You can buy from them, or just get ideas. They also list minimum sizes per number of pigs. I always go up one pig, so if you have 3 pigs, build a cage for 4 pigs. Girls tend not to need as much space as boys, but they can be total space hogs, too, so just go as big as you can, money and space wise. I have had a lot of luck with 2 sows and one boar, until the last time, when the sows totally stopped getting along, and had to be separated. So it's always hit or miss. Plan to create a cage big enough to be separated into two cages, just in case!
