Hiya! I'm a newbie here and I currently have four boys, o and so we think. One of them isn't developing like his brother. I'll add photos but please reassure me that my Barnaby isn't a Barbra!!

Hello and welcome It can be really hard to be sure of a baby's sex. If they are a few weeks old, it gets easier. This link shows some great pics of both sexes: www.guinealynx.info/sexing_pups.html If you still aren't sure, putting some gentle pressure on the penus area should get the penus to protrude enough for you to be sure it's there. Some females have a bump where the penus would be, which smooths out over time, but makes it really hard to tell for sure, without seeing if the penus will pop out. Good luck with that Can't wait to see pictures If Barnaby is Barbra, you can put her with one of her brothers, once he's neutered, of course, and they should make a great pair. Don't worry about size. It doesn't indicate sex. Some pigs are just smaller than others. I had a litter runt who never got very big, but was really full of life I don't know how big you cage is, but for 4 boys, I advice a big enough cage to give each boy a place of his own, rather than making them share all the accomodations. How you do that depends on the amount and type of space you have, money, etc., so it's something to keep in mind. Also, puberty is between 2-12 months old. Once 4 boys go into puberty at the same time, life in piggy land can get nasty, and they often have to be separated. It's best to separate them at the first sign of problems, so there's a chance they can get back together when they're older. Once they've had a bad fight, or even a lot of bullying, they aren't likely to want to be together again. It's all normal, not anything you're doing. Just be aware, so you can deal with it. Floor time is very important with a large group of boys. If you can provide them with a place to run most of the time, that's even better. Just putting the cage in a corner, so you only need to block of one side, gives them a much bigger world, and they are less likely to pick on each other. I can't wait to see pictures, and don't hesitate to ask questions

Welcome to Wheekers!
I've given a few of my friend's guinea pigs sex changes, so it's not an uncommon thing to do, but definitely worth making the effort to get right. You have lots of great advice from 3piggles, so fingers crossed if there has been a mis-sexing. it won't have come to anything yet.
