I'm squinting but I can only make out vague shapes! Glad you got to see them and enjoyed watching them play, and that you got a good bike ride in while it was cool too.

I know what's in the picturem maybe that's why I thought you could see them. I'll try to get the other camera going. Our azaleas are in full bloom, and we're loving the color. It was hard to find. The smaller one we planted this spring. We saw a huge one, so know the can get really big 🤗

Very pretty! We've got a few things in bloom at the moment, I should get my camera out later. My daughter's had it trained on the birdhouse to watch the bluetits - the babies are starting to poke their heads up at the hole, so I don't think they'll be in there for much longer. The coal tits that were nesting in a hollow of a tree have left, we didn't see them before they went.

Hubby planted a lot of bedding flowers. We're doing a deep purple/orange garden in the front berm. Our daughter and SiL's favorite colors. The garden along the driveway is mostly in shades of pink, and the one on the other side of the driveway, not in the picture, is mostly shades of yellow. The kalenchoes in yellow, pink and orange are in the window boxes, and in the big planters with the spiky plants.
I also got some Chinese or Japanese dandelions, which are a salad green, planted in the tower planter. I now have red leaf lettuce, Asian dandelions and iceberg lettuce I can harvest and allow to grow back.
The Mesclun is about 1.5" high, and all of the other salad greens have sprouted. The dill sprouted, and I've thinned it once, but will have to do it again. Going to have some major salad stuff this summer 🤗

Sounds great! The bedding plants I got a week or two ago are all still alive (because I've remembered to water them) - that's my accomplishment!

Temps dropped radically. I don't think they got out of the low 60s, yesterday, and basil needs heat, so they were suffering. I had Hubby cover them with plant pots last night, so se we don't have any clear pots big enough to cover them. Temp is up to 50 outside, so it should be even warmer under the pots. We'll remove the pots once the air temp is a bit warmer.
Yes, watering makes a huge difference 🤗 Supposed to be getting showers this week, T storms, actually, so everything should watered. Hopefully not too heavily.
We can water outside, today, after the water main break, but we watered the neediest plants by hand, so not sure a full watering is necessary

Ugh 🙄 Grass really shows drought damage. We can water, now, so need to get the sprinklers going after dinner. I can't believe the number of people who water during the heat of the day?
Hubby is installing more fence panels. There will be 3 panels on each side of the house. At least he doesn't have to move the bushes on the right side. He has three to move on the left side, as they're now too close to the fence. The bushes didn't do well over the winter, sowe won't move them until they're healthier.

With everyone being at home and the good weather, there's apparently been a massive spike in demand for water with people filling paddling pools, power washing everything and paying more attention to their garden. So while we're not banned from using hoses, they've asked us to be mindful of their water use and to not water lawns. We never do anyway, it's too big an area to do with a hose, and there are very few years we don't get enough rain to have cause to use a sprinkler system! Anyway, it looks like the dry spell is over so we should have a green lawn again soon!
