Poor Anna, she's not even got over Galaxy and Cadbury, and now she has to deal with Jessie too lol. LOL Sorry Anna! I hope your trauma is not to severe this go around! Maybe Jackie can do something to help you feel better? LOL Jackie how is little Miss Bea doing today? I bet you can hardly stop looking at her! Isn't it so much fun to have a new baby in the house?

Thanks everyone and Beatrix and Squeekie are fine thanks anna and Val. Hope your ok anna, I'm sure Beatrix won't mind you calling her Beatrix Jessie lol She might say, but I'm not a cat you know lol I called Beatrix Miss Beatrix Potter last night, which will be her full name when shes being extra cheeky It took me a while to get her in last night, gosh she is very quick lol Here are some new photo's I took last night. Here is lovely Squeekie, edging towards the lovely tunnel, but he still won't venture through it. Aww I'm sure both piggies will, I'll keep trying to hide some veg in there. Thumper has been in it though, well his head Nearly there, doh he did a u-turn after this picture was taken, honestly Janet he loves it really, he just needs to be braver and realise the slight noise it makes is nothing to worry about. And lovely Beatrix peeping out at me. Here she is trying to attract Squeekies attention, aww can't wait for them to be introduced properly. The weather has gone very cold so Squeekie is using the smaller cage in the hall rather than the big one in the piggy/bun palace. Here is Beatrix on the first step, she actually found a way to jump up so I may need a childs stair gate lol Can I make it to the second step says Beatrix, phew no she didn't attempt that one. Squeekie I'm here!!! honestly!! boys!!

Lovely pictures there, Clover! What a wonderful tunnel you have, Squeekie! I can promise you it'll be very fun going through that tunnel, you may even want to do it again and again! Come on, Squeekie! Be a daredevil! Aw hi there, Beatrix! Very eager to get to Squeekie, eh? You will soon be friends with him! Jackie, I read on your other post that you said Beatrix wasn't an Abyssinian as she didn't have any rosettes at all! I've just looked at her carefully in the photos and I've got to say that I have never seen any piggy with fur like hers before! It's so queer! lol, but it's adorable! I've also noticed that she has a white blouse! Aww! Hugs and Kisses to Squeekie and Beatrix!

Yes her hair is like a little mane Kalindi isn't it, aww so cute Linda, I've looked up Beatrix's breed and didn't find many sites but the one I found is very good. They are affectionately called ridgy pigs, you can see many pictures of ridgy pigs here, the owner of the site supports rescues. www.geocities.com/texcavy/ridgypigs.htmlAnd information about ridgy pigs. www.geocities.com/texcavy/ridgypigs-breed.htmlIt says in Australia it is very close to recognition as a breed of guinea pig. My Peachy was an abby but she had a pronounced Mohawk on her head, Beatrix's is just further back and longer.

Aww she's so sweet - Fred had a little ridge like that too.
The photos of both Squeekie and Beatrix are gorgeous - I'm so excited to see them together, so I bet you're bursting! Good for you being patient though, it's very sensible to make sure all is well.

She's so cute. My zippy is the roamer. I use to worry, but it's so much fun to see where he's going to head off to next, lol. Squeekie will do the tunnel. He just has to get his nerve together, and once he starts, he won't stop, lol.

Awww Jackie I'm so glad you have another little bundle of joy to help you heal. She's sooo gorgeous! She looks like my Pinto - with a moehawk hairdo! You're right, it's very close to being a recognised breed here. They will be called Ridgeback guinea pigs Beatrix reminds me of Sweatpea a little bit... and I agree I'd be leaning towards 6 months. Poor possum being left in the park She'll have nothing but great love and care with you Congratulations!

Bringer of joy... what an appropriate meaning for a very fitting name. Welcome to your new family, Beatrix! I'm looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of your beautiful face and hearing all about your daily adventures for many years to come. Great pictures, Jackie! Aww look at Squeekie next to the tunnel... Lorena says that although the crackly noise is a little scary at first, it really doesn't hurt you... just pretend that it's a plastic bag full of your favorite veggies! I love the pictures of Beatrix saying hello to Squeekie too. I bet they're going to get along wonderfully.

Awww Jackie, more wonderful pics. Im glad to see that Bea is learning to take over the house! A bit like Winter really! Squeekie you are looking as gorgeous as ever, and really there is nothing to going through a tunnel. Look at Winter she did it after Pip showed her what to do! Perhaps you need Pip to come up and show you? Mind you I think you may find her to be a bit of a handful!

Hi Bea! Just checking to see how your new life is going? Have you got mum completely trained yet? I've heard Clover is really good at jumping through hoops to make sure everyone in the household is happy and well fed!

Thanks so much everyone for your messages. I'm still being patient but its hard waiting for Beatrix and Squeekie to be introduced properly, not long now though. Little Beatrix seems in great health, no sign of anything starting and her appetite is wonderful. Beatrix is also becoming less afraid of me and runs to the front door to be picked up which is funny as Squeekie likes to put his feet up against the cage to be lifted (his favourite spot). She is saving me alot of running about lol She really is a wheeker, very high pitched lol I'll try and get her on a movie for you. I made this for my dear little Sweetpeas page.

Aww, what a lovely picture of Sweetpea. Great job, Jackie. I'm looking forward to hearing Beatrix's wheek! Isn't it neat how they all have their different, unique little voices. Our high wheeker over here is Lorena. Though she's typically a very quiet little girl, she can sure make a racket when it's veggie time!

The big day arrives tomorrow when Beatrix lives with Squeekie Beatrix is really healthy and hasn't yet turned her nose up at any food I've given her Her first weigh day Under her log tunnel and a portrait picture. It was getting a bit dark so it didn't come out very clear so will try again soon. Hopefully soon lots of pictures coming of my Squeekie and Beatrix together
