I think Daisy Bell is pretty harmless to be honest. Is she wearing a santa hat, or is it a red beret? lol

She's called the Crimbo Cow so guess it's a Santa hat but she's the only of the Christmas Smilies that gets to stay.

Haha Crimbo cow has an exclusive all year pass! We had a lovely member called Poms (pcfew at Cavy Compendium) who sadly passed away a few years ago. She was completely mad on Christmas and would start planning the next Christmas before she'd even finished her turkey dinner lol. So Crimbo cow gets to stay as a special tribute to a dear old friend!
Donna, put the fairy lights back please!

Naww this thread took a sad turn quickly!
Very well, then, I shall look upon that thing with a new mind-set now, although it isn't exactly my cup of tea; I have mine black. :P Actually, I'm not terribly fond of most emoticons. They're weird!

I can't stand the blighters myself and would be happy if they all fell off the forum. But I appreciate that some simpletons are unable to express themselves without the use of gormless little cartoon pictures, so by majority vote they get to stay!
*holds hands up* No offence anyone!

Gormless, here. I kind of like them, but do think they get a bit overused, even by me, lol!!!

Well I wasn't going to name names but it's good of you to own up, Laurie! I don't mind them so much really! It'd be hard (and unrealistic to expect) to use any kind of forum without accepting that smilies and funny abbreviations of words/ phrases will be popping up all over! I have fallen in to using lol and think I may try to give it up. I don't know when I lost the ability to express with words that I found something amusing without spelling out 'I am laughing you know, I think that's funny!'. Anyway that's all from Granny Treen for now, over and out...

I don't know when I lost the ability to express with words that I found something amusing without spelling out 'I am laughing you know, I think that's funny!'... I do that all the time as well, and I have to delete it as I just tag it on the end of most sentences I write! I use it to make light humor of what I have written, so that people know it is said in fun and not seriously! (Can I write a lol now? lol!)
