Ha ha, I have never kown a piggy or bunny who doesn;t like parsley. We have a pot of it and they get a treat every so often. Unfortunatley, we don't hae a garden as such, as least not a private one. I adore courgettes/zuccinis to, they are lovely stuffed or in a ratatouille ( think that is how it is spelt) Congrats on your strawberry hun.

Nice gardens! Our growing season is almost done. I would love to grow cilantro indoors, but even the seeds aren't available after the growing seasons, except online. Enjoy the fresh veggies and herbs!

I can't grow anything indoors! My house has wide eaves so very little natural light gets in... not enough to sustain plant life anyway... We spend most of our time on days off outside! It's so exciting waiting for things to fruit! I can't wait!

That was totally jumping the gun! There's no need to be advertising one holiday, until the last one is over. I'm glad people complained to the store instead of just to each other.

That is ridiculous. They don;t give us time to enjoy one part of the year without jumping prematurely onto another. I adore christmas but this spoils it somewhat.

I agree it's nice to look forward to things and enjoy the build up, but it does seem that so much time/ life is wasted constantly getting prepared for and excited about set events rather than just enjoying life generally (of which the holidays are a lovely part). And the majority of the hype is just down to making money out of us anyway, so it's all wonky!
My tomatoes are starting to turn red - it's not that warm anymore though, so not sure how they'll turn out!

I agree with what you say Treen, to some it is just a money making time. I try and take each day as it comes and will not wish my life away yearning for something which will be here soon anyway.
Good luck with the little toms, I hope they are OK.

Good luck with the little toms, I hope they are OK. Aside from the odd orangey spot, they're still green!

My 3-year-old Gerbera Daisy. It's an annual I bought to go over the girls' grave in the back garden. We had to move it when we got torrential rains, and it was being damaged, so it's on the back porch, for now. It will come inside for the winter, again, and hopefully perk up again next summer. This is my house plant corner of the back porch. Probably have them all inside before the end of the month.

Those big pink daisies are wonderful! I love daisies, they're one of my favourite sorts of flower.
I'm starting to get more cherry tomatoes than I know what to do with. Some of them are pretty disappointing, flavour-wise - just watery. But there are a few tasty ones. Trouble is, since the seedlings all 'fell' off my windowsill, I don't know which plant is which variety! Got some pretty impressive looking chillies, too. Some minute red ones, some massive yellowy green ones and some normal sized orange ones. Can't wait to try them!

You have some lovely flowers hun; I do love to see a a nice garden. I like daisies too, my other favourites are carnations, roses, foxgloves and a little potted plant which I haven;t seen for years call the cockscombe. It was a little furry plant and I love anything furry. I also love ornamental cabbages.

Ooh, nice looking squash starting there. I've never used them, but squash blossoms can also be eaten. Weesilvie, that daisy should only have lived for one year. I have no idea why it's still alive, or even why it's so happy. I think it must have some perennial genes in it! For all of my ability to grow just about anything, I lost my last orchid. So far, I'm 0 for 2 with orchids, and think I will give up. The plants with the long, spindly green leaves should bloom annually. Once I bring them inside, they will bloom about every 3 months. Makes no sense it all, unless they are somehow related to the endlessly blooming Thanksgiving and Christmas cacti in the attic bedroom. Nothing seems to stop them from blooming, and I can't even seem to get them to go dormant when I stop watering them for the summer. Daughter said she thinks the reason our house didn't stink of cigarette smoke when I smoked, was because I had so many plants filtering the smoke out of the air. I think she's right Weesilvie, if the cherry tomatoes have no taste, they aren't getting the food they need. Don't know from memory what they do need, but a sprinkle-on, time release food is best.
