I am glad you have found a way to reduce your indigestion Piggles hunni, I felt so sorry for you as it sounded so very painful. I love crackers but I love cheese with them. Sometimes it is something I will eat but we only usually have ordinary cheddar in and that isn't as much fun as some of the other cheese you can get. I love cheddars, I don't know if you have them in the US. Thank you for hoping I will feel better. I still don't want to eat. It is cool and very overcast here thankfully and I am sorry your humidity is so high. Hugs JO xx

The cheese probably won't settle as well as plain crackers. I usually eat Saltines without reduced salt, as they put something in my stomach, without upsetting it. Otherwise, cheese and crackers is a standard snack. I'm not into the sharp cheeses, but will eat some of the milder ones. I am lactose intolerant, though, so have to be really careful how much cheese I eat. My daughter's mother in law is visiting from Texas, heading back in a couple of weeks, and she's in the hospital with heart problems. I feel for her having the trouble so far from home, and since she has her grandson with her, and he has to get back to Texas to start school in a couple of weeks, I'm sure she's feeling the pressure Meanwhile, the humidity is back, in force, and entrenching itself for at least the next 10 days. I'm working on scheduling laundry so I can dry it on the drying rack. Too bad I'm not awake enough to do it at night, when I can't sleep. Tomorrow is August. Time to wind down this thread, and welcome a new month

I m not into sharp cheeses anymore Piggles hunni, I used to love them but now prefer the milder ones like camembert. I hope your daughter's mother in law gets well soon and is enjoying her stay.
Yes, I can now say that next month we will be in the Bers, my favourite time of year only I don't feel much like it at the moment. Very dull and cool here today which is nice.

I don't know what it's like where you are, but the air gets crisp and clean, here, and we know it's Fall I love that smell and quality to the air, which hasn't been around for a year. I love the Bers Not exactly Ber-like weather here, either. Hot, humid, pop up thunderstorms, and generally lousy weather. At least we have green grass, flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and dragonflies. We have a hummer coming to the flowers in the window boxes and hangers. The Borage plant with its beautiful blue flowers is bee heaven. I will plant one out front, next year. Give even more bees a great summer feast

I can always smell autumn and you are right Piggles love, it does have a good clean smell and the colours changing on the trees is wonderful. It doesn't happen anymore but I used to love the smell of the log fires from the chimneys when I came home from school. I know all the little bees are in bed by this time, however, but I have watched quite a few this year. I would love to see your dear little hummer.
