I'm glad Newpig brought it up as I would not dare to tell you what to do with your piggies! You are the pro and my hero....forever and always! lol lol Val! I'm not that scary for you to say what you think am I?! lol Heck NO! That was just my attempt at being polite and respectful. Don't tell Treen, but sometimes my good upbringing shines through. ;D Betty and Wilma are looking marvelous! I love the ear shot on Betty. I did not realize she had those waving ears like that! Very cute!!

That is a great picture beckee! How do you keep your lawn so green? Sun all morning, plenty of rain and most importantly.. vast quantities of piggy and bunny poo! lol So! A busy weekend for the animals of Casa Spangland! The manager of my daughter's nursery asked me if I'd be willing to bring any pets along for a 'pets corner' on their nursery Open Day this weekend! I decided to take Hantaro and Pebbles as these two are the most at ease with being cuddled by youngsters and I also took along my bunnies and Gerty the gerbil to say hello! We had a nice corner of the garden laid out for us which was a little way away from the main nursery so not too close to the noise of the fun and games there and we had a gazebo for shade! I did a couple of posters with details about the animals, the kinds if things they like/dislike and some basic care points and a few parents were asking questions as they were considering getting pets for their children so I like to think I have helped a pet or two get some positive care! lol Lots of children wanted to have a cuddle with the furries and everyone was well behaved. I had cuddle cups for laps and lots of the kids came back several times through the afternoon to stroke their favourites again and again! One little boy fell in love with Hantaro as her orange patches matched his bright ginger hair! lol It was a good afternoon all in all and the nursery were pleased with how it went so it may well be a regular feature and there is talk of having a 'pets' day at the nursery to help the children learn about animal care and I will take in chosen pets and talk a bit about them! Meanwhile, back at the ranch.. Betty and Wilma had a nice relaxing day in the peace and quiet! I thought lots of new smells and noisy kids would be a bit too much for blind Betty so they got out of it!

I love your set up, from the pens to the info. That's a great way to get the right info out to people. Being able to do that on a regular basis would be great. It also showed the animals not in pet store cages, so the parents won't think that's all that's available.
