Maybe she ate extra veggies and thus the softer droppings?

The longest Rocky was on antibiotics was 10 days after his surgery and it was only Baytril. We saw no changes in his poopettes. I'm sure with Koko it is totally different. I do see a difference with both the boys when they eat too many veggies or are introduced to something new. Hopefully it is very minor. Can you keep giving us a wheek to wheek update? I love to hear good news and success stories

I was reading and have been told that their bodies sort of acclimate to the new conditions, so if they have been on antibiotics for a long time, it can take some time for their bodies to adjust to being off them, and to expect some intestinal upset. I have also read to continue probiotics or poop soup for at least a week after ab's are discontinued, but I think she's fine and doesn't need it. If I see any further negative changes, I'd probably give her a poop soup boost. All in all, I think she seems great!
Thank you all for your concern!

Well, after two long long months, we put Koko and Saige back together in the same cage yesterday!! We have been doing 1-2 hour long visits in a wading pool for about a week, but this was the big test! We made sure to have items from both of them, but the cage had been Saige's. Water bottle and a home of Koko's. There was lots of popcorning and bouncing around, and it seems like they're getting along fine!! This is so exciting, and even my husband was surprised!

After the nightmare you went through with Koko, this is such wonderful news. I bet she winks at you and says, "Thanks I really wanted to be with you."

She and I are good pals now! I can go to pet her in her cage and she'll actually stop and let me. She is pretty darn special and to see her happy and excited about life is so much more than I could have ever hoped for.

We took pictures of their being rehoused together, but my computer monitor died (the hard drive was dying too) and had to quickly set up another computer. I have to download the camera software. Maybe I'll get to that today!!
