I'm with Vegan! Although I have a few "pet" spiders living in corners around the house , and I would never dream of squishing them, I don't think I could have a tarautula for a pet! But bless those special people who find the beauty in every creature! Your friend is very kind and loving.

I'd never hurt spiders either, I usually buck up the courage to put them in a glass, put them in the garden and say 'now don't come back little one' lol I've only ever jumped on my bed once, this spider was enormous and ran from the landing straight into the bedroom, under the bed. Even hubby was afraid to catch him. When he finally caught him, he put newspaper on top of the small bowl, so he wouldn't escape. Anyway we could hear him tapping on the paper, trying to get out 'shivers' Thankfully we normally just get the normal sized house spiders, they are bad enough

I think thats how Bird sees them Susie, as beautiful creatures, so she made a beautiful pages for them. I'm afraid I still can't warm to them much. I'm more afraid of Daddy Long legs than I am of spiders though, I dislike the sound they make and how they fly, very creepy. My brothers used to tourment me when I was a kid by cupping them in their hands and letting them go near my face, what nice brothers

I'm not generally a fan of spiders (although I squeal for fella or restrain them, I don't squish!) but I do like tarantulas! It's the ones who skiddle around and try and get up your trouser legs that upset me most lol.

But I've already got you one now I was going to feed him up so he's really big for you! Well I'll just have to go all the way back to Chester Zoo and sneak him back in. He'll be so dissapointed that he's not going to live with Auntie Treen. At least he has eight little feet to dry away his tears

At least he has eight little feet to dry away his tears Ahahahahaha Clover! The spiders that freak me out are the big house spiders you get around autumn that run from one side of the room to the other, I scream when I see those, lol

At least he has eight little feet to dry away his tears Aww I feel so sad now lol, poor Timmy Tarantula, such a sad spiddy! You're always saying I'm heartless (on the soap thread anyway lol) so maybe he'd best stay with you if he needs extra tlc? I don't want to let him down, those eight legs will be across his little peepers like windcreen wipers!

Oh yes, they seem to want to come in more around autumn don't they soozthecat . I'm afraid Timmy is already back at Chester Zoo now There was actually a reward notice on his enclosure, for his safe return. I just told them I found him in my lunch box when I got home and they believed me , so I have 1,000 pounds to spend They also told me that he'll be getting a mate as there's only a few left in the wild, so he's very rare, so I couldn't sneak him out again as he'd miss his wife and future children too much.

I'm afraid Timmy is already back at Chester Zoo now Aww very well. Will I be getting half the reward money, as if it weren't for me, you wouldn't have it, right?! Did you see this story in the news www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1392496/posts? We're not safe over here you know!

Eeek lol.. I don't mind the Daddy Long legs (who's nippers are too small to bite you with) but big ones freak me out. I used to be fearless but now I just can't stand them. I have dreams about tirantula's coming and eating my Guinea Pigs and I have to go save them... just yuck...

Treen, was that the photo of the kind of spider that bit him? I certainly would know if THAT sucker was in my bananas! I'm actually more worried about the things coming in that ya can't see- like deadly viruses and such. Creepy!

Aww very well. Will I be getting half the reward money, as if it weren't for me, you wouldn't have it, right?! Well by coincidence, I actually mentioned that to Timmy at the time, he said you didn't deserve half, with you rejecting him, I can't argue with a tarantula can I lol I'm glad that man was alright, phew. Well done to the experts!

Treen, was that the photo of the kind of spider that bit him? I thought it was but I'm not sure now - I think that the one he saw was actually much smaller, but they released that picture of a more adult type of the same spider to scare people lol. Pah! Someone told me they released the spider too! It shouldn't do too well in our climate, but if it stays warm and the spiddy finds a nice place to hide, it could live until winter. Imagine if it was pregnant too! It was down south though, so I think I should be okay lol.
