I'm going down a bit of a rabbit hole with British 80s rap music here - don't worry, I'll keep it to myself! Keep digging! One more from the 80s, Emanon - Fresh Beats

All this talk of old rap & hip-hop leads me to post some Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five with their anti-drug tune "White Lines"! Kickin' it OLD SCHOOL! (My younger brother used to breakdance to this; good times...) That's a great track. Better than "The Message" Here's another old school tune from my '86 collection

Not bad (don't think I've heard of Jah9 before)! And good to see you, Shades! Thanks! It's been really hectic these last six months selling up everything, then moving half way around the world, then setting up a new home and business. I need a holiday

I'm not satisfied with my weight, but I'm not upset that I haven't lost more. I am physically much better than I was when I started, and am able to do things I haven't been able to do in since the early for 20 years. I'm also very aware of how much more easily I swim now, than when I started at the Y. Back then, I swim to the other end of the pool, and have to rest and catch my breath. Now I can do all 30 laps without stopping. My eating habits are, in general, much better, and while I would like to lose more weight, I finally ordered some new jeans for the 60 pounds I've lost. I'll enjoy them for a while, assuming they fit. I don't have much luck with online clothes shopping. Keep your fingers crossed. I think Bean is right about a change in the demands on your body fueling your ability to cut back on your food intake. You're also physically exhausted, now, and your body is not just accepting more food, but demanding it. If your body doesn't require as much fuel, you won't feel compelled to fuel it. I've found we can continue to eat just about anything, as long as we eat less of it. You hit the nail on the head there. Our body only asks for fuel when it needs it. Remember that always hungry feeling? That's when your metabolism was messed up. You had lots of stored fuel but the body couldn't see it. By changing your eating habits, you've reset your metabolism and your body isn't demanding fuel every few hours. You can go for a long time without reaching for the snack tin. 👍
