I'd love to see a detailed statistical analysis of comparisons of how countries have dealt with it and how that's effected recovery/ death rates. I know our NHS was at breaking point so we needed to lockdown like we did. But in other countries with similar high rates that haven't been so stringent, have they seen lots more deaths from either covid or other conditions that haven't been treated while the medics fight covid? Of course there are differences in how countries record deaths, so we're not comparing like with like. I'd just be interested is all! Too cold for you? Must have been pretty darn parky! my go to websites for covid data www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/worldwide-graphs/ www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/covid-19-testing/ourworldindata.org/coronavirus-data

We're not looking to go abroad this year (and a few of us will need new passports by then), so hopefully many things relating to travel will be ironed out/ made clearer by the time we make a trip. I'm sure some of the EU countries will slow us down as much as they can! Sounds like you've been reading the Mail and the Express too much I'm sure you know that's not how it really works. There is no revenge agenda. Not being in the "club" anymore means that all benefits of EU membership are gone, gone for good. That's the reality of now being a "Third Country". I don't remember the Leavers saying that way back but I've heard many complaining recently about how things have changed for the worse. They must have thought they were buying a ticket for another show Looking in from afar, things look pretty bleak economically and for personal opportunities.

I'm not one, either, though being American, I have my own problems. Still, I think a lot of people voted for Brexit thinking it was going to put all that money back in the NHS, and nothing else would change. By the time they realized none of that was going to happen, it was too late to undo it. I do hope, once all the start up pains are under control, the government can start reinstituting some of the things, however little, that really mattered to people. I like your optimism

I did know about them stopping adding remaining time onto new passports though, and without warning. A couple of friends from overseas got caught out renewing their kids' passports to take a trip home - they're from countries where you need to have 3-6 months on your passport to visit. As children's passports are only valid for 5 years anyway, they lost quite a chunk of time and weren't happy! They took the time to warn the rest of us. That's so true. For many living abroad, an adult passport is effectively valid for 9Β½ years less however long you have to apply in advance for a new one. You can easily lose another 2 or 3 months on top. Reading up on this (I definitely missed it first time around), I see now that you will be refused entry if you travel to Europe with less than 6 months left on your passport. And there's more....current passports might have had extra months added under the old rules. These extra months will be disregarded. For travel in Europe, your passport will be deemed to expire 5/10 years from its issue date. I can see many people being caught by this once travel is back to normal. It's even worse if you've got a pet passport... Just to be clear, I'm not a Brexiteer.

Just seen a post-Brexit passport. Looks so tacky! Cheap quality, terrible design. At least some people will be happy with the badge and colour Even worse, they've stopped adding on extra months from your application date until the expiry date on the old passport. Before, your new passport was valid from issue date until 10 years after the expiry of your old passport. Now it's just valid for 10 years from issue date. For lots of travellers, I'm sure many months are being lost because they have to apply long before old passport expires. That's shocking. Even more shocking is that apparently the government made this policy change a few years ago without telling anyone. Rant over!

I think the best approach to getting people to eat more healthy foods, is to get them to integrate healthy foods with what they normally like to eat. I also think it needs to be started when they are children, not once they get diabetes, or heart disease. I don't blame Dr. Berry for taking the approach he takes. He's playing catch up with people who needed to have their whole way of eating change years before they got to him. . . . There's a lot we can do as a society to encourage healthy eating by everyone. We seem to opt not to do them I agree that for many people, just getting them off cruddy processed foods with little nutrition is crucial. Which fruits are healthiest is a few levels of health consciousness on from that! I'm with anyone battling against a food industry that's profiting from making us all ill though, and different messages work for different people. I'd love to see all places like schools and hospitals provide great nutrition for the people who need it most. You both touched on healthy foods being mega-important, but what is being promoted as healthy clearly isn't when we see the obesity epidemic all around the world. I used to eat the recommended "healthy" foods and see where that got me. The major battle is that the people making the decisions at government level of what is a healthy food choice are at the mercy of the food producers. These companies have enormous power to dictate government policies. It's no accident that grains feature prominently in so-called healthy eating suggestions everywhere. In the UK, schools and hospitals are tied to government health policies, that's why the food choices there are not good. Slowly, very slowly, the tide is turning but it is a real uphill battle to educate and convince people that there's a healthier lifestyle out there that isn't going to make you broke. I disagree that healthy eating is expensive because if you're eating well, you actually eat less. I dare not think about how much I used to spend on things like bread and cornflakes.

One of the things I like most about they lunar new year is that the NHL is always on the sports channel. Or maybe this is the only time I really watch TV It's not a sport I really follow but I enjoy watching it. I learnt this year that Las Vegas and Florida have ice hockey teams. It is surprising for me that these places would consider this sport. I presume there aren't many local players. And it can't be much fun for the fans in Florida having to dress for the cold rink when it's not so cold outside. Or maybe the fan comfort in the US rinks is way above other countries.

Might as well have a pop tart instead according to Dr Berry! I don't dispute they're a high sugar fruit, or that there are better sources of potassium. But the whole 'bananas will make you fat' angle just switches me right off. What I've learned from this video is that you can eat sweet potato raw - I eat them cooked in several different ways, but it's never occurred to me that it would taste nice raw. Will give it a try! I'm with Bean on being turned off by the Bananas make you fat issue. We each have a banana every morning with breakfast. We like bananas. There's really no point in cutting out everything we like, because it's not the best source of vitamins or minerals, and his has fruit or veggie sugar. People who stop eating everything they like, don't stick with a lifestyle change for very long. We don't eat them by the bunch, and we eat other sugary things, because we won't lose weight as quickly eating them as not. There are so many fruits with so much more sugar, that we don't eat, I don't feel badly eating one banana a day. It's good information to have, though, and to use when making our own decisions. Dr Berry's style is very much dramatic and he's not shy to use a snappy video title to attract attention. He has to be like that to get his voice heard. He's fighting back against the food producers' misleading ad campaigns and their billion dollar budgets. He's just a normal doctor who's seeing sick patients day-to-day. He feels he has a responsibility to highlight health misinformation to help others make better health decisions. Nutrition summary (100 grams of bananas):Fat 0.33g Carbs 22.84g Protein 1.09g
