You did I used those to top my Plexiglass side panels and the entries to the hay boxes, as hubby cut them a bit raggedly. They are so inexpensive. How is it working with the fleece?

Haven't got any yet! My mum thought she had some but annoyingly the pieces were a bit too small and wouldn't have joined together well as they were short on both sides, so I'll have to go into town and buy some. Not a problem but it might take me a bit of time to get there!

That link I posted to Daisojapan, no longer seems to have the drain boards I will google similar items when I get a chance. I am currently having all sorts of problem with proboards right now, so might drop off the face of the earth for a bit

3piggles that stinks that those drain boards have gone missing. Sounds like they may have been perfect! Bean I have been meaning to get those report cover things for almost as long as I have had piggies! Maybe someday I will get around to getting some one of these days. Since adding a few more toys and tons of different hay areas (we now have 4) Henry seems to be a bit busier. Keeping the hay areas clean is a bit more work for me, but the fleece seems to be staying cleaner, so I guess that's good. It's faster to clean out a hay bin than it is to change out fleece! I have a great system for me, now, but probably tried over 100 different approaches, combinations, etc., before getting to a bedding I can totally clean and change on my own. I'm glad you're sorting out how you want the cage to be arranged, and it's keeping the boys busy. I went to Home Depot to check out the perforated rubber pads listed from them. The holes are 1.25 inches, so too big for piggy flooring. The mats were definitely soft enough under foot, and wipeable, but piggy feet could easily got caught in holes that big. That was for the 3'x3' black mat, and the roll of pinkish mat. I'll keep looking

We are getting there. It seems the pee pads are working. I haven't smelled pee yet this week! I changed the fleece on Saturday. It's now Thursday night and things are still good!

Did I say before that in anticipation of my boys chewing the correx, I have covered the edges with report binder spines which come in all sorts of colours. Does the trick! Of course if Henry's just started doing it and you think it might be down to boredom then that needs to be sorted, but nothing wrong with protecting the correx while you figure out what floats his boat! So hubby has been wondering what prevents the piggies from chewing the report binder spines? Or is it that they are more easily replaced than the item that they are protecting?

Mine don't chew them - they don't have the tempting rough edge of the correx, and along with the smoothness they're also much thicker so not as easy for them to get their teeth around!

I think the spines are just wide enough, and strangely shaped, they don't fit piggy mouths very well.

I have files for different things and I left one out once, well, the edges looked as if they have been deckled LOL!!

Jo, I had to look up the term deckled. Is that a common term on your side of the pond?

Basically it means pretty edging. You can get special arty scissors which make a pattern when you cut with them, they are called deckle edges. Sorry huns to have caused confusion.

This has been a very busy week. The only upside to having only 1 guinea pig is that the cage only needs cleaned once a week. I have spent the week making more free roam space for Henry and switching things up in his cage to keep him happy. He has no signs of illness that I can see. (I have been watching him closely.) He is eating and wheeking and gets the zoomies. He still popcorns too. Today I'm buying a few more things to add to the toy rotation. I am pleased with the way he has responded to loosing Murphy. Today I have to clean the cage though and I'm a little worried about what Henry will do once Murphy's scent is gone. I will keep you all posted!

Removing the last of the scent can be traumatic, but he sounds happy with current situation. He's getting a lot more attention from you. If you lie on the floor during his floor time, he will include you in his games
