I hope he starts feeling better soon. It could be the increase in meds. I found my Dallas used to get his meds and fall asleep for a good half hour afterward. Maybe he has to adjust to the new med and increased dosage of the old one. If his tum's been out of sorts, he may not want to bend down to get his own vitapoos, so he uses Beatrix's. I'm sure he's more than willing to share his if the situation were reversed.
We'll keep our digits crossed for him to be back to his old self in no time.

Just putting in a quick update as I was on the phone to Jackie earlier...
Squeekie had an examination under sedation earlier today. She should be collecting him as I type this. I think there was a tiny spur giving him a bit of bother, but Aiden has dealt with this. Jackie is picking up Squeekie and a few bits and will then be on her way back home to update us all properly.
Sending love and hugs to Squeekie.

Aww I'm sorry Squeekie is still out of sorts. I hope that Adrian sorting out his spur will see his appetite improve within the next few days, and that Squeekie bounced back well from the anaesthetic.
You're a great piggy nurse, Jackie, and I know Squeekie will be getting the very best care with you - everything is crossed here for a speedy recovery xxx

So sorry I'm a bit late with an update, I had to have a lie down after travelling on so many buses, 6 altogether so was feeling queezy on the way home. Childhood travel sickness has never left me lol As Anna mentioned, Squeekie was sedated so Aiden could check his teeth more throughly. I did of course question the sedation as I was very worried but Aiden looked after Squeekie really well and I'm so relieved Squeekie recovered from the effects very quickly. No spurs could be found, his tongue and cheeks were ok, just a slight overgrowth on some of the lower molars. So Aiden sorted them out but he did say there was a couple of tiny pockets between a couple of molars that had an infection so that might have been enough to decrease Squeekie's appetite. Maybe a bit of food had got trapped. Squeekie also had an x-ray and his teeth roots were fine. It was quite costly, nearly £200.00 which includes two consultations but at least Aiden did find a possible cause and if the antibiotics help Squeekie I would have robbed a bank and paid more lol He is on two antibiotic Engemycin O.4ml daily for 3 weeks so its quite a long course. and Vetergesic vial at only 0.1ml twice aday. Fingers crossed by day 3 or 4 I'll be seeing improvements. Squeekie got quite abit of attention on the bus, lots of awwws lol and when he was under his towel, I was asked a few times, what have you got there lol Thanks for all your lovely messages for Squeekie

Oh I am so glad that Aiden has found the possible reason for Squeekie to be doing so poorly. I sure hope the medications help and that soon Squeekie will be back to his old self. I feel sorry for you having to ride so many buses and getting that motion sickness. I suffer from that as well. How cute that Squeekie was an attention getter on the bus. As far as vet costs go, well, it is getting so expensive here too. As of April 1st, here in California, we now have to pay "sales tax" on veterinarian services which we never had to pay.

He is on two antibiotic Engemycin O.4ml daily for 3 weeks so its quite a long course. and Vetergesic vial at only 0.1ml twice aday. Sorry but I haven't had chance to look on the net about the above drugs but I thought Vetergesic was an antibiotic but must have misheard but Karen has told me its a very strong pain killer. So as both drugs aren't normally used on guinea pigs, I will question Aiden about them tommorow. Squeekie wasn't due to take them until tommorow but thank you Karen for being so quick to alert me about them.

Wow, that is interesting. Can't wait to hear what Dr. Aiden has to say about that? Two thumbs up to Karen for spotting that and alerting you that there may be a problem with the meds.
