We get our internet through our phone line, but the connection rate still almost always drops off when it's really windy - not sure why?!

No sure, Bean. Seems pretty protected, doesn't it?

I suppose it could all rely on a dish somewhere that is susceptible to the weather? Or that when it's rubbish weather more people stay in and watch films online and slow the speed down?!
We're having a pretty nice week weather-wise - it is getting cold at night but the days have been lovely, warm and sunny. Got a few bedding plants I need to pop in today and I bought some tulip bulbs too. So hopefully I will get that done later - but I did say that yesterday and the day before...

I've noticed my to do list tends to get longer instead of shorter.

Oh yes and some 3piggles love!!
I had a morning at the seaside today, we went to Looe and had fish and chips. It is only a few miles away and we have promised ourelves we will go more often or to one of the other numerous quaint villages here. The trouble is, because it is a nice day, so many other buggers are there too and parking is a premium. Andthe temptations well? Cream teas, pasties, sweeties and chocolate, fudge, ice cream, For me being a big greedy, it is paradise LOL.

Oooh the trip to the seaside sounds great! Glad you had a nice day out Jo, and the fish and chips sound lovely - you can't beat eating them by the sea! It's a shame it was pretty busy, but I bet it was a lot quieter than 2 weeks ago when the kids were off school haha!
I got my plants in. Still plenty else I should get on with, but nothing that can't go on that long to do list...!

School is back in session, so the seaside is calm again. All quiet until the warm weather arrives next year. Best time to go Glad you had a great outing

It was a lovely day Bean love, thank you. I say day out but we were only there for a short while as I don't like to leave our babies for too long. You are right, you cannot beat fish and chips by the sea. Next titme we know however not to have the chips; the fish was delicious and more than enough. Yes, we never go anywhere during the school holidays but of course with yesterday being so nice,it was still pretty crowded. Thanks Piggles love, we did have a lovely outing. Not doing it too often makes it more enjoyable.

We had a great outing yesterday, meeting daughter and granddaughter at a playground. We brought lunch, had a great time and got some great pictures.

Aww sounds lovely - look forward to the pictures!
We had a fairly quiet weekend - with the return to school (where lots of minor sniffles are already circulating so we've all had a few snotty days) and visitors staying with us last weekend, the relax went down pretty nicely all round!

Ah yes, the back to school sniffles. Hope they pass and don't become major colds.

It is so nice to hear about the nice things my friends do, we are hoping for abother outing in a few weeks but it is Paul's birthday and I want him to choose a treat. He rather fancies visiting the winery up the road which is a tourist attraction but apparenty their wine is very expensive. We shall see.

I wonder if you can get any vouchers/ discounts for there online? We often google for a voucher or code before we buy/ visit somewhere and it's saved us loads. It sounds like a fun trip if you manage it. We visited a vineyard in France and it was lovely and very interesting. I don't know much about wine, but I knew the ones I liked the taste of and that's good enough for me!

Thanks Bean love, that is a very good idea. I know some of these places give you a discount if you are local and not a tourist. I am glad you enjoyed your wine; unfortunatley I cannot drink anymore because of the meds I take but a couple of bottles for Paul for his birthday would be great.

Oooh he wouldn't drink both bottles in one would he?!
You can get some nice non-alcoholic wines these days - nice if you want to join in with a special toast but don't drink for whatever reason. Maybe you just like a nice cup of tea though!

I like wine, but mostly put it in soups and sauces, now. Not much of a drinker, but I will have a small glass once or twice a year. Never could get into beer, though it's probably the #1 beverage in the US.

Thanks Bean love, I will bear that in mind. I usually end up with something non alcoholic and sparkly at Christmas for example. (whoops, there is that C word again LOL) Ha ha, no I don't think he would drink 2 bottles in one go. A different story when he was young no doubt LOL!

I was never much of a wine drinker, but starting to like it more lately. I don't know alot about different wines, but I know some taste good to me and some don't. I like cooking with it too...made spaghetti last night and added some cheap red wine to the sauce and it's fabulous! On a whim once, I added some wine to chili I was making. That I would not recommend though cause it added a funny taste. Of course I still ate it cause I hate to throw out a nice home cooked meal!

Maybe it depends on the wine/ quantity you use and the dish it's added to? I've added it to chilli before and it's been good. There are people who believe you shouldn't add any wine to food which you wouldn't enjoy drinking on its own. Not a good rule for me since I don't like red wine at all, but think a glass is a great addition to stews.
