Looks good, and what a great idea! I can see how that'll make a nice privacy curtain of plants once you fill it up. I wish my house had more windows that get good sunlight, so I could have more plants. I have 3 1/2 houseplants...the half is the one that's half dead but still hanging on

I love plants. Just can't keep them alive lol. Especially outdoor ones! They last about a week. Not sure what we do wrong!

Cookie and Jo, I have a green thumb with most plants, but can't grow orchids or roses for anything. I have so many plants in the house over the winter, it's great! They seem to thrive

Whatch it, Bean, or I'll answer that Ooh, gummy worms and stuffed olives even, Jo A cold drinknwith eyeball ice cubes! Different subject. A friend in southern California had a coyote enter her bunny room through the bunny door, basically a cat door, that was latched, and kill one of her bunnies. The coyote problem has gotten so bad in SoCal, and even mid and northern areas, that public info meetings are being held on how to protect against them. My friend installed a new fence, and is saving for coyote rollers, cylinders that top the fence and spin when the coyote tries to get over the top. She said they are very effective and very pricey. She had razor wire on top of old fence. It didn't stop the coyotes. Some former members live in that area, too, and have pets at risk. The real concern is that they will start attacking children, as they hunt in packs and can easily kill a child. Coyotes, not former members, lol

Oh Piggles that's awful about the coyote getting the poor bunny How sad for your friend, and sounds like she took all the necessary precautions, and they even got over the razor wire...wow! I've never seen any coyotes by me, but every now and then I'll see a story on the local news about coyote sightings in suburban areas a half hour from me. I bet those coyote rollers are going to be in very high demand out there in California.

That's dreadful love, that poor bunny and her poor mum. I wouldn't normally say this but they want shooting. If they are likely to start attacking chldren also and in packs, it becomes organised to a certain extent and makes them even more dangerous. Are any steps being taken to deal with them?

It's hard to say if any steps are being taken, at least in California. The state is bankrupt, so I imagine a lot of the responsibility is being put on individual homeowners. If coyotes attack a person, that will change.
There's a lot of talk about buying a pellet gun and shooting the coyotes, as pellet or air guns don't require a permit or waiting period. Hitting a stationary target is really hard. Hitting a moving target is extremely hard. Also, pellet guns aren't regulated because being hit by a pellet isn't lethal. Pellets can penitrate muscle and cause a great deal of pain, which won't make the coyotes any easier to manage. I'd do a paint gun, tagging the worst offenders with a paint splotch that also hurts. Non lethal and informative.

That is good 3 piggles love, I wouldn't want them to die in agony, a clean shot or notat all. Your paint gun sounds a good idea, discouraging them but no lasting damage and no suffering.

Oh no, how awful for your poor friend, she must have been devastated. Must feel so much worse with them actually coming inside a building too.

Jo, maybe it would be coyote shaming, if they get hit by a paint ball, lol. Probably not. As angry and upset as I would be in her situation, I couldn't kill or maim an animal for doing what comes naturally unless I caught it in the act. I like the idea of the paintball gun. It should give time to rescue the victim.

Exactly Piggles, I think it is a good idea. ha ha, doubt if the coyote will see it as shameful though LOL!! I also agree that he would actually have to be caught in the act
