I just want to welcome our latest members, Steph and Cavycuteness, who joined in the past week. Feel free to join our discussions, ask any questions you might have and post pictures of the furries Also, I HAD to post about this. Went shopping with hubby Sunday, and it was windy. I don't have a windbreaker, and that was what I needed. We stopped at the clothing store for larger women, and I found a perfect windbreaker, but I thought it was super soft and supple leather. Being an animal lover, I didn't want leather. I looked at the tag, and not only was it not leather, it's totally man made! It's polyurethane made to look and feel like super soft leather. It's by a company called Friends & Faux, and the tag specifically says it's animal friendly. I love it! I will definitely check for other items made by this company. I posted about it on Facebook, so my other animal loving friends could check out the company.

I wanted to pop in just to say, "Hi." Things have been crazy busy in my world. My home that I lived in until hubby and I got married is getting a renter. This will be our first tenant ever. But the two sisters renting it couldn't be nicer, so I think it will go just fine. We're busy doing all of the things necessary to get it ready for the girls and getting the insurance straightened out.
I've also been busy trying to merge hubby's and my digital music collection. We have 48 GB of digital music, so it took some time. I'm now trying to get our iTunes accounts to work with the new external hard drive.
Gotta run! Miss you all.

Different topic. Does anyone else use dye catcher sheets in their laundry? The only ones commercially available have perfume added to the extent that when I open the drawer under the washer, I have to hold my breath. Not easy when everything I need is in that drawer. I googled homemade sheets, and found a recipe I'm going to try. Soak a white cloth an a mix of 1 tablespoon dry washing soda/soda ash and one cup hot water. Air dry the cloths, and cut to the preferred size. I just need to get the washing soda. I have an old, white towel I can use. Thanks to that awful Fabreeze being added to everything, I'm making more and more things from scratch. That is excellent, SiLamb You and they may have found great piggysitters

Yes, Daisy will be moving in as well. she and I even talked about the piggie sitting idea. She is all for it. Piggles, sorry I wish that I knew of something to help you. I'm curious what you experience.

I don't use colour catcher sheets but my washing techniques are horribly deficient - just bung it all in together and hope for the best!
Aww tenants with pigs - lovely! I wonder if they had any anxiety about whether Daisy would be welcome?! That's a great idea about exchanging sitting duties. But if you look after Daisy, don't put her in he same room with the boys - her mere scent may be more than they can cope with!

Wondering if we'll be getting any trick or treaters this year - don't think we had any last year although previous years have brought a lot of door knocking.

I'm a cheap skate. It's less expensive to use the dye catchers than to have to replace clothes. Daughter is thecqueen od washing darks with lights and getting greys and tans. If the sheets work, I'll make her a batch. If I use existing towels, they'll be practically free! My favorite price Piggy sitter Yes!
