Thanks for the catnip tip Piggles love, I think we will get him some tips and see if he still wants to play. He is getting on a bit now but he is still bright but Paul moans because he doesn't play with his claws in I told Paul that cats do not know how to play gently, claws out is automatic for them. That is so annoying Baz hunni, I hope you get it sorted soon, I hate not to be able to get on here. Has anyone in the UK seen the Gaz and Leccy adverts, they are absolutely hilarious and have us in stitches every time they are on?

Baz, can you get to Task Master, and see if it's a program you can stop or block? I haven't had that problem with Firefox. I also opted for the cookie blocking option on Firefox, which could be why. If these popup programs are leaving cookies to track your activity, blocking the cookies might work. Sorry, but I have no idea where I found that option. Bean, I really like my phone, but I do not like the apps that have invaded as many levels of my privacy as it's possible to invade. Every time I take a picture, it's posted on Facebook for me to select, if I chose, before I even see it. Google does this, as if it's a help to me. If they can access everything, what can hackers access through Google? Also, every time I update anything, my text goes back to automatically changing all of my commas to periods, at least 3-4 times before it seems to get the point that I want a freaking comma there, not a period! I'm going to research blocking Google, when I get a chance. I know there is a way, and if I can find the instructions on Cnet, I'll definitely follow them. I'm also going to try blocking access to my photos, and see if that messes with any apps that wanted access. Apparently their need for access is that that's how they post pictures on the apps, so I'll see what happens. I think you'll find the research on the new meters totally counters her ideas. It's no stronger than wi-fi or BlueTooth, and you'd be surprised how much radiation you get from the computer and the TV. I bought some Dr. Bonner's 18-in-1 Hemp Pure-Castile Soap. It can be used as bath soap, laundry soap, all purpose cleaner, shampoo, and up to 18 different things. Instructions for each are on the back of the bottle. I'm going to try it as shampoo tonight. I used it as bath soap last night, and loved it. I bought the unscented variety, which I really need. I can still use my apple cider vinegar hair conditioner. I'd love to go totally unscented. I'll post updates as I have them. It might be perfect for anyone with allergies to heavy metals or perfumes. We were looking for something else entirely, in storage, and found my great Uncle Will Harley's tool kit. I have his tool box, the wooden kind it took two men to carry, and I'm using that under the living room windows. I wanted the tool kit to put on the island, and I finally have it there The round tin things that were there before we sieves of different sizes. I like them, but not there. Hubby is looking forward to having nuts and a nut cracker in part of one side, once the holidays start. The nuts don't seem to be available at least until Thanksgiving.

I love the toolbox - it's a great centrepiece for the table. It works so well with fruit and if you ever serve meals that have lots of sauces etc, you could put them all in there to carry them over!
I always set my phone up to not reveal location etc (unless I'm using uber!) but it astonishes me how many apps ask for access to your contacts, messages, camera, microphone etc when they clearly don't need it. Insane invasion of privacy!
That soap sounds great - let me know how you get on with it.

Thanks, ladies I've had that tool kit, and the tool box that would have taken two men to carry, for decades. I just never had the right place to put them before. I have some small, decorative pots, so I'm going to try growing some herbs in pots in the tool box. It's right in front of the big window over the sink, so I'm hoping that's enough light. I used the castile soap as a shampoo, last night, and it worked great. No itching or breaking out in rashes, and it rinsed out as quickly as the baking soda/water shampoo I make. I'm definitely going to stick with it for a while, and see if it continues to be as good. There is a citrus hair conditioner that goes with it, but I don't know if I want to add a scent back, when I'm doing so well with the unscented. I'm going to do some research, and see if the citrus scent is natural or chemical.

I found the section and deleted all the cookies... which resulted in me getting kicked off Wheekers, LOL! I logged back in and we'll see if that fixed anything. Thanks for the tip, I was up for suggestions.

Hope it does the trick - sorry I can't offer suggestions as anything that's wrong with my computer/ phone etc I just tend to pass it to my husband as he quite enjoys that sort of stuff!
We seem to have loads of crane flies this year - we've had so many more in the house than ever before. Maybe the weather is pleasing for their breeding habits?
Speaking of weather we had a massive thunderstorm last night - I've not seen lightning like it in a long time. The sky was constantly flashing really brightly for about half an hour, it felt like the aliens were coming! The growl of thunder didn't really stop either; we tend to get more storms where it's a clear lightning and then thunder pattern.

Wow, that must have been quite a storm, Bean! We've had some like that, and they can get a bit unnerving, especially if they big strikes are really close. Baz, I blocked the cookies on Firefox, and it has blocked some of the pictures and shared posts on Facebook. I get the text, but not the pictures. I tried to kill all the cookies for Wheekers, once, and also got kicked off. I think Proboards has some strange software, as Wheekers has generally slowed to a crawl on Firefox, now, too. Glad you got back to Wheekers. I would have hated to lose you over some cookies

Wow, that must have been quite a storm, Bean! We've had some like that, and they can get a bit unnerving, especially if they big strikes are really close. My main concern was stopping the kids from going out and running round in the garden in it - it's their chosen response to every storm/ downpour, but it was past their bedtime and they were in their school uniforms so I wasn't shifting! I said they could stand by the open back door for a good view, but had to watch those feet creeping out slowly onto the patio 'for a better view' - the start of a slippery slope! Fingers crossed your problem is sorted, Baz!

Ha ha kids either love a storm or are scared stiff of them. Surprisingly when we do have a storm my babies do not seem to react at all. I once has a doggie who used to shake all over, it was so sad even though we did comfort her as much as possible.

My sister-in-law videotaped a hurricane coming through her back yard in Florida. It was really spectacular, but she shouldn't have even been in the doorway, or exposed to the potential projectiles in hurricanes. Someone finally dragged her back inside, and the video ended. At least we knew she was safe. I used to sit out on the screened porch and watch the thunderstorms pass by. They were always so colorful, which I've only seen in certain places. The dog used to stay on the porch with me, hoping I would go inside, so she could go inside She was a great dog Glad you haven't had any more cookie problems, Baz

I don't think we have proper thunderstorms here Piggles love, in comparison to some in the US. You literally have to take cover sometimes don't you or stay in the cellar (basement)?

I used to sit out on the screened porch and watch them blow by, but it really depends on the severity of the storm, the amount of wind, etc. Since lightening can strike anywhere, we're taught to stay away from windows and doors. It also helps not to touch light switches, as the electricity from lightening can travel a really long way, and into house wiring.
Tornadoes are what drives us to the basement, or into the bathtub or safe room. We never had tornadoes where I live, but they've become more common. Tornadoes don't touch down for very long, despite all the damage they do. We actually had one of the longest touchdowns for a tornado, in recorded history. Luckily, it wasn't in a very populated area.
We also get straight line winds, which are a straight line version of a tornado. Wind speeds the same, but the winds aren't spiraling. The park up the street from us got hit by straight line winds a few weeks ago. A bit too close for comfort!
We had a real crash and flash early this morning, around 2 a.m. I had finally fallen asleep, so I'm happy it didn't wake me. It woke Vic, though. He said it was quite a light show!
The leaves are slowly starting to turn colors. Nothing much to show, yet, but it's a reminder that Fall is here. The Fall Solstice is this week, and the days are noticeably shorter than even a month ago. We have been getting some rain the last couple of days, though, so at least the lawns and gardens have had a real watering.

It's possible to get tornadoes over where I live, but they're uncommon. Actually, they've been known to crop up in Lake Michigan, several at a time. (I've seen this personally, but they were so far away that it was of no danger to anyone, unless you were out on the lake in the area!)

Extreme weather like that described really fascinates me although I am not going to go as far as to say I wish we had it here. I would certainly like to watch some of the extreme weather occurrences if I could. I know some people are really hooked and follow them around the country.

There are tornado followers, but they are out in the mid west, and can spot a tornado from quite a distance. The straight line winds just seem like regular winds, but they pick up speed and become as strong as tornado winds. Not something people can follow, really. Not as exciting or glamorous as chasing tornadoes, either.
