I'm not ignoring anyone. I've been having endless trouble connecting to wheekers or proboards, not sure which one. I just get a message saying connecting, until it times out. 10 minutes to post one reply just isn't in my schedule right now. I'm hoping I can find a time of day or something that won't have the problems. I've run out of browsers to try. I will have hubby find the way I blocked the cookies, and unblock them. Maybe that's the problem, at least with Firefox. 22 minutes until Fall official arrives. Today is the equinox, or equal hours of night and day. Then it's a slow progression of shorter days and longer nights, and in early November, we fall behind with the clocks. Happy first day of Fall!!! The upside is the temperatures also fall from here until about April, so soups, sauces and breads time is almost here!!! Another upside is that I don't have to get out to walk before the crack of dawn, just to beat the heat. My seasons are here!!! I am enjoying this no end No offense to the heat lovers

I'm already noticing the darker evenings - they're closing in on us! I love the colours of the leaves at this time of year, and don't mind it being a bit cooler if it's still bright and sunny. But I do love the sun. Glad you will be enjoying it though!
Sorry you're having so many problems getting on - wish I could be more helpful, but your hub will be much more use!

Sorry you are having trouble connecting Piggles love, it is so frustrating when you can't get on and chat to your friends. I hope it sorts itself out quickly. It is quite chilly here today, our autumn is on its way too. I love it I have to say and all the tasty foods you mention which are autumn and winter favourites.
It is quite sunny here today Bean hunni, although there is a distinct nip in the air. The leaves are falling off the trees and I am looking forward to the changes of the reds and golds, I do love this time of year. I am looking forward to doing stews but as I have been practically banned from OUR kitchen so I think there will be a bit of a contretemps lol!!

Hubby, who is great tech support for everyone else, seems to be totally stumped as to why I have so much trouble connecting to Wheekers/proboards. I had him remove the tracking blocker, and for a little while, it was as fast as ever, as it is now. I got to noon, and it slowed to less than a crawl. Of all the applications I use every day, Wheekers is the only one with this problem. I finally gave up. I started typing, the letters never appeared, and I couldn't sit here all day waiting for it. I finally rebooted it, and got it running again. Pain in the tuckus! I am going to have Vic show me how to measure the Internet speed. I've forgotten how to do it. I want to see if it slows to a crawl, when I have problems with Wheekers. Still, I can go to Facebook, online banking, Photobucket, and a lot of other places with no problems. Just Wheekers. I'm rather bummed about it, as I really thought going to Firefox fixed the problems. Sorry, it's slowing down again, so My typing isn't showing on the screen. Later

That does sound frustrating.
I got my new (to me) phone yesterday and although it's a bit bigger than my old one (I like small phones) I am so glad to get rid of the last one which annoyed me greatly. I complained to the seller after numerous problems with it, but they failed to reply. But luckily, as I bought it through Amazon, they have now refunded me. So even though it was just a cheap phone, I'm happy I'm not out of pocket for a couple of months of irritation!
You're quiet at the moment, Shades - cat got your tongue?!

That is so annoying Piggles love and it would be good to know why it is behaving this way. I am glad that you were reimbursed Bean hunni for your faulty phone. Sometimes it isn't just about what a thing cost but principle.

Even if you don't use the phone a lot, having a faulty one means annoyance every time you try to use it Daughter has had a lot of bad phones, phones with flip covers that break off, keys that stop working, screens that cracked. I think phones have generally gotten better, probably because of the number of refunds. Here in the states, the phone companies were taken to court over their attempts to get out of backing their products. Tiny print clauses no one could read saying how they could blame the customer instead of taking responsibility. I think there have been enough class action suits that anyone with insurance or a phone that's still under warranty can get it replaced for free now. We have the Samsung Note 4 phones, which we love. The latest Samsung Note, the Note 7, is the one with the battery that's catching fire in people's purses and pockets. I'm glad we're not in need of the latest Note, as it's definitely not the greatest one! I really used to like small phones, but as my eyes aren't that great anymore, so I need a screen that lets me make the print or picture bigger. When I buy pants or a purse, I try my phone in it, to make sure it fits. I wonder what the store surveillance people think, watching my sticking my phone in pockets

When our silly phone tells us there has been a message left, it always gives today's day as four days ago. We could do with having a look at the manual which might as well be in Chinese, and try and rectify it lol!! I agree Piggles love, faulty phones are a pain in the arse!!

Facebook always posts where you're posting from, and for some reason, it's often totally wrong. Posting from New Hampshire I've been listed as posting from Bombay, for some place that turned out to be in Russia, and from a whole lot of other places I've never been. We joke about being so well traveled All of these allegedly advanced tech toys that can't get the time, date and location right.

Ah well, it's a cheap way to travel?!
Jo, I'm sure the problem on your phone is that the date is set to the wrong year as fella's parents had the same problem - see if you can find the date settings on the handset and change it.
I found some cheap bedding plants and bulbs yesterday, so am hoping to get an hour spare to plant them out - before the weather gets too cold for me to be interested in gardening! Mind you, the central heating kicked in for the first time yesterday, so it's coming!

Too true Piggles love, it can cope with the complicated things but not the basics. You are probably right Bean love, I will have to have a play around and see if I can get it put right. Good luck with the planting hunni.

Great find, Bean. We bought plants to landscape a small area of our front yard, then after the driveway and walks were paved, the company came back on put dirt and grass seed along all the edges. Exactly what I didn't want in that section, because now we have to remove it to amend the soil with manure and peat moss, put the landscape fabric over it, plant the plants and cover it all with mulch. I'm hoping to be able to gently shovel it up and put it where we do want grass. We've already had a frost, so we need to get the landscaping done, as much as possible, before we get a real freeze. Columbus Day is October 12, and the ads for Columbus Day sales started about a week ago. The sales will probably run past Columbus day, but can't get in the way of Halloween. When the government first decided that it would be best to celebrate Columbus Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day on the Monday before the actual holiday, so workers could have a long weekend off work. That led to retail businesses having sales on those days, so none of their employees could get the days off. Then the sales got to be a week long, and they just kept getting longer. Columbus Day sales will probably run until the end of October, since they don't really conflict with Halloween. Halloween candy has been in stores since Labor Day. It never stops! We're getting our shed tomorrow. I'll try to get some pictures to post. I'll either be too busy to get on the computer, or staying out of the way and having plenty of time to get on the computer

We haven't had a frost yet but it has been really chilly some nights and we have some of the mildest weather in the UK. Speaking of things being in the shops long before they should, our supermarkets have lost of their christmas stock in like cakes/chocolates. I am just waiting for the deckies to go up, that won't be long either.

We had a nice sunny day yesterday so I enjoyed a little potter in the garden and getting my plants in. I've got a pot and a corner that I need to get something new for so will keep my eyes open.
Happy shedding! That sounds wrong, but you know what I mean!

Lol, I have shedded The guys arrived around 7 a.m., and had the shed erected and ready to use in about 3 hours. Pretty much everything was prefabricated, so it was a matter of fitting all the parts together. They said we did one of the best jobs of preparing the site for the shed, despite the fact we are all given the same prep sheet, so we know what we need to do. I'm definitely thinking about getting some planters, either pots or buckets, to use for annuals, though some might work for perennials, too. I'm sure the new plants will give you something nice to look at in the planter

Oooh I like it - Dutch barn style eh?! Having the double doors along the long side it a great idea to maximise your chances of getting in and out and accessing everything easily, even with hub trying to block it up! It's more attractive than your average shed anyway, but planters will really set it off.
We had our shed constructed for us and it was well worth the few extra quid. They were so quick! Good work with the ground prep too.

That is just gorgeous, what a lovely shape and colour Piggles hunni. How about a couple of hanging baskets? I agree Bean lovey, having things done to your own specification is well worth it.

I'm definitely getting window boxes, but not until spring. No need to leave it out for the winter. I'm also getting window boxes from the windows on the front of the house. I'm also looking into planting trumpet vines on trellises in the front of the house, as I loved the ones at my grandmothers house when I was growing up. I'm finding that they are very invasive, though, so I'm wondering if they're such a great idea. I would really like a brightly flowering vine, but not one that's going to take over the neighborhood. I do love the orange of the trumpet vine, and that they bloom all summer, but I think I'll have to go with Clematis vines, instead. They are beautiful, just don't come in orange I'm looking at this one: www.springhillnursery.com/product/duchess-of-edinburgh-clematisA designer friend in Belgium said she could make a really funky tiny house out of the shed. I bet she can

That clematis is gorgeous. Is it pretty hardy too?
We have pyracantha growing up the side of our shed and it's great. It's evergreen and has a beautiful white blossom in spring and gorgeous red berries in Autumn/ Winter. It's just coming into berry now and really cheers up the garden at a time when many other things are dying off - I'll take a photo of it later.

They are really beautiful hunni and would look wonderful. I miss having a garden as such but then I am not well enough to tend it. I love hanging baskets with all their colour and keep saying every year I am going to get one but that would mean inserting a wall bracket and I don't think Paul would do that lol!
