I can't have any favourites cos each one has brought something entirely different to my life. I can't imagine a life without cats. Or pigs, now! I know what you mean. I have only owned cats for a year next month and I don't know how I ever got along without them. Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, and what ever else comes my way...they are all welcome here. Although, I'm not that thrilled about the tank of goldfish I have here for my granddaughter's liking! They are very hard to train! lol

I know what you mean too! I had a couple of gerbils a couple of years ago. I 'acquired' them from a friend - I looked after them whilst she went on holiday but when she came back, her mum wouldn't have them back in the house! I don't know how she could have parted with them so easily, but i certainly enjoyed having them! I wans't entirely happy about having them in the same house as a curious cat because it meant I was too scared to get them out of the cage at all. The pigs are a different story - Silvie is still curious but they're too big for her to be too interested. A much better mix of animals for me.

If you check page one of this trhead, you'll see Taz's story, if you haven't already! I have been staying at my mum's for a few days and am just back, having checked out how Taz is getting on. She is still a very shy cat with people and hides when anyone comes to the house, but I was delighted that she remembered me (after hiding for a couple of hours!) and allowed me to chat with her just as I had before. She is a fantastic cat and loving the 'single' life, as well as the undivided attention of my mum who is especially soft! I'll post pictures later, need to go out just now. On another note - there is a field opposites my mum's house with half a dozen sheep in it. When I got up this morning to drive home, there was an extra tiny little baby lamb in there! Too far away to take a picture, m'afraid though. But too cute!

She is beautiful and lovely, especially in the sunshine. Just now she's a soggy mog - just come in from being out in the rain and drying her paws on my lap! And yes Val, she is a wee bit on the porky side. I try and manage her weight and really don't feed her much - a handful of light dry stuff in the morning, a pouch at night and not much in the way of treats. I'm fairly sure she has other sources of food. Always more difficult to keep her weight down in the winter as well because she's a bit of a wimp in the rubbish weather and therefore gets less exercise. She's got that middle-aged-neutered-lady-cat saggy belly thing going on as well, which doesn't help! Poor Silvie...

I got Silvie a present last week, and I'm really surprised that she seems to like it! It's one of those Danish Design cat cosies - although I think I could have done with getting a bigger size! And introducing another one my wee feline friends, Joey. He's a lovely wee chap but a bit of a gigolo - he likes the ladies! And the ladies aren't too keen on him... I love his totally random orange spots. He's such a cutie Silvie's now busy looking at me like she hasn't been fed for several months. Wee fraud - it's a whole hour before tea time!

Awww look at precious Silvie! All snug in her new bed! She looks very comfy to me even if she could have used a larger size! lol
What a gorgeous white and orange kitty! Is Joey yours? I do agree he is lovely with his random orange spots! I wonder if you connected the dots, what would the design be?...a kitty paw maybe? lol

Joey is very handsome, I think. Oh, and the pic of Silvie is funny. She doesn't seem to mind the small size one bit. It's nice and snug.

Val - Joey isn't mine, he's just a visitor. I've helped his folks out with vet visits in the past as they don't have a car. And I managed to persuade them to get him neutered which I think has been great for him as he seems to be injured a lot less often now!
Gogo - I think he's handsome too. He's quite a small cat but he makes up for it in character! And what is it about cats getting into things which just aren't quite big enough? I remember finding Milly (see earlier in the thread - p2 I think), a rather ample-of-girth black cat, crammed into a shoe box once. Her tail was hanging out one end, her head the other and the sides were really bulging!

Aw, they do have a way of sitting and staring that totally makes their point, lol. I had a Maine Coon Cat with tufty ears, and they really are great. I love that little wild look!!!
