I think you can get fresh tofu in some places now, shades, but it's not that common. I quite like tofu, but seemingly only when it's deep fried! Incidentally, my friend, who loves tofu, was saying she had some in Japan recently and it was almost liquid inside and not very pleasant. I'm wondering if that's a regional variation in how it's prepared or if she was just given a bad batch?! Japanese tofu is very soft and very difficult to eat with chopsticks!

I only had tofu once, and it was really bland. I've since learned that there are soft and firm varieties, that some need to be drained or have the excess liquid squeezed out of it, and that it really needs to be marinated to give it some flavor. Since I drink soy milk, and use soy sauce, I really need to make more effort to use tofu. Hubby is totally against it, thinks I'm trying to make him go vegan. I'm not. I just like to try more foods, eat a healthier diet, and if I can incorporate tofu, why not. Xigua (it's a type of watermelon) you should serve it with a dressing otherwise it's bland! Xigua is just a typical watermelon for me. That's the Chinese word for watermelon (西瓜 xīguā)

Are we on likes or dislikes?
Tofu is great, I eat it two or three times a week. But I've never seen fresh tofu in the UK.
U - can't think of any foods

Sorry, I must admit I didn't read the thread from the top. I just saw you mentioned cable ties and that made me think about my velcro ties. It's quite strong for floor-level vertical walls but higher than that, I wouldn't like to try.

Just to add to piggles excellent advice, I've got some grids for floor time and I've tied them with small pieces of velcro. That works fine and I can easily make odd shapes and all sizes of floor space. It doesn't have you be a rectangle
