I know! I can feel them, sitting in my room right now, they may be sleeping, but if I move towards them, there they will be, sitting and staring at me, squeaking, lol

Mine chew things loudly to get my attention, and stand up with their hands on the cage side. Morty will even flip pigloos if u don't respond quickly enough Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

I really had no idea how social guinea pigs were. I love that my Henry carries on every time I open the refrigerator!

They are incredibly social, and also like to have some control. Once they settle in, they will make their preferences known Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

I am so happy to have the pigs so close by. Our would be dining room is now simply the "pig room" and will stay that way, now that they are out with us all the time, everyone seems to enjoy them being out here all the time, and they seem to enjoy being able to squeal and get treats when someone goes to the kitchen lol.

Sounds great! Mine are in the room next to the kitchen and wheek like mad whenever they can hear someone banging around in there (especially if they chop something) - it's hard to resist giving them a little something and I must admit I don't often bother trying!

Mine were in my office, the back bedroom, but are now in the basement family room. It is cool down here year round. I even have to block the vents to keep the a/c from turning the room into a fridge. Cut way down on the a/c cost for the back bedroom. The attic snug will get too hot for me this summer, so I will be in the family room a lot more. The piggies may get tired of seeing me.

I hope to get a pen set up in the family room, this summer, just so they get a change of scenery. See if the girls don't try to kill each other through the bars.

I am going to set up a pen in my new grassy, pesticide free back yard for the summer, so I can sit outside with the piggy boys and they can munch grass.

I gave up on more coats of paint on my deck. I'll do it tjis fall, when it's not as rainy.
Got the outdoor rug and the umbrella installed on the deck. I have to get a kit to install the heat resistant window film, then we'll get that installed. I hope it helps. It's on the hot side of the house, and by early morning in the summer, the heat is just welling through the glass and overheating the dining room and kitchen. The living room can be 15 degrees cooler, it's that bad. Then there's the basement family and piggy room, where I have to open the windows on the hottest days, because it gets all the a/c.

I redid the guinea pig cages again today finally. Alfonz and Marbles have a 2x5 now, it works better in the room they are in, and we attached Jellybean's cage to the Alfonz/Marbles cage, to save us some space, so now everyone is set up in a corner L shaped cage. I like it so much more already, I will see how it is when I have to clean it lol.

I love that we have so much more space in the new house, I am going to ramp the cages down to the floor for piggy free range once I get some more book shelves, because I am using the pig room as library storage right now lol. But once I get the books cleaned up, the piggy boys will get a full 15 foot x 15 foot room to run around in when its time for floor time.
I honestly am so happy with this new house for the pigs, its nothing but bigger better spaces for the little fluff butts lol.

Wonderful! I really miss my piggy room, but these guys don't get along well enough to free range. I hope you can get some pictures when it's all set up Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

Sadly, I finally had to separate Alfonz and Marbles, as Marbles puberty has become too much. He ended up with bites over the weekend while I was gone, so they all live side by side by side lol. Eventually Alfonz and Marbles will hopefully be companions again, but I think I am going to have to wait it out for a while.
New and exciting for them was the introduction of fresh grass out of the yard, they loved it. I've been giving them snuggles, but Jellybean just bites me as soon as I try so unfortunately he doesn't get as much snuggles. I think in his old age he simply wants to be left alone. He has gotten so much messier with his cage too, he just goes wherever he wants to, instead of in one spot like he used to.
I took Alfonz out into the yard yesterday, and while he was pretty happy about being surrounded in food, he was less pleased with the noises, I think with a good set up of fences out there the boys will love it. Tomorrow after work I will try and post pictures of the yard and the new cage set up, and the pigs and their room lol.
